    My Trip Report

A good friend of mine told me last night about his first trip to Vegas which corresponded with his honeymoon. He and his wife had only played a few slots and were leaving early the next morning. They had gone to bed when my fiend decided he needed to get up and go down to try blackjack. It was about 2 AM and they were staying at the Stardust. His wife told him he was stupid (or some other newlywed term). He went anyway. He didn't want to show his inexperience to other players so he looked for an empty table. The only one was a $100 table. My friend had $120 left in their gambling budget, gulped and sat down. He told the dealer he had never played before. She said are you sure you want to do this. The combination of being young, half drunk, inexperienced and stupid (as per his new bride) caused him to say yes. First hand was a blackjack. He won his first five hands and quit about 10 minutes later up $1800 playing head to head with the dealer. The pit boss gave him a breakfast comp and his business card with the request to please call when you come back so we can take care of you. My friend went back up to the room where he got his a$$ chewed until he pulled out a roll of $100s. I think my friend has gotten chewed plenty of times over the years (they really do love each other but she is a little loud and aggressive), but I don't think he has ever been able to stifle it as well as he did that first time at the Stardust.

thats quite a story, almost something from the movies. if he's really smart he'll never step foot back in a casino and end his blackjack career up 1800 dollars! :D

Nice!! If your buddy was really smart, he would have pocketed $1500, and told his wife he only won $300. [IMG] Newlyweds!!!
