I was going to school in Omaha, but spent a number of weekends in Lincoln. Parents had season tickets and rarely went, so crashed in a buddies room at Abel. Never got tackled at Amigos, but there were some fun times. If you haven't played Indian Creek in Omaha, it's my regular course. Plus, they built a Runza about a hundred yards from the entrance. :)

I watch a lot of true crime on ID; funny how that makes husbands “jittery” lol. My husband announces my knowledge to Google Home as insurance occasionally and I say “You don’t think I have learned how to make that all just go away” ;) lol

Have a great trip. Stay safe lmao

Crazy small world, I live just 20 miles from Bow. We have been members at Wildhorse for all but the 2 years. Probably running close to 22 years. You will enjoy it!

Gotta love it! I puked in the Abel 8 bathroom after a purple passion party once when i tried to sleep on one of my buddies hanging beds and got the spins. Indian Creek is awesome, played it a few times--seems like a lot of people moved to Omaha after undergrad so spent a lotta time there like you going down to Lincoln in reverse. It's been like 20-25 years but I vaguely recall some Green Onion Lounge in a strip mall with really strong drinks, and a lot of time in the Old Market area. My friends lived in the apartments off the Applewood golf course, my college ex-girlfriend ended up being the manager of I think it was Thomasville apartments which had a bar with some really cheap maybe 10 cent small draw beer night which resulted in some "night play" at the course. :haha::haha::haha: If the Runza is within wedge distance, I'm in, especially if it is bladed wedge thru the front window distance ;)

Thanks! I'll try not to beat up the course too badly! ;) My buddy is one of the owner's of Kinkaider Brewery. We practiced a lot in college, although I'm not sure Keystone Light longnecks have any relation to Devils Gap Jalapeno Ale, besides both being alcoholic!

Checked in for the flight despite the scare tactics, I think they just say this on every flight now.....looks pretty empty to me, but I’m sure that will fill with other free upgrades.

Woot, a Beeejay trip report is just the thing I need to get me through my worst Vegas drought in years, and being back to work (after 15 amazing months tasting retirement) with no trips on the horizon.

    Bring. It. On!

Your seat is kitty corner to the john. Hopefully, none of your fellow first class passengers will have had a bad breakfast burritto. Happened to me once on a morning flight to SFO. I was sitting in the same seat.

Have an epic "trip"! (I don't even know what to call this. Extravaganza? Sabbatical?)

The more golf details, the better. :woohoo:

I’ve sat in 2E for 95% of my flights the past 5 years, I'll occasionally take 2B for a red-eye so the flight attendants talking from their jump seats doesn't wake me up. For day time flights I like 2E because the wall blocks the galley noise and its far enough back from the LAV that it isn't an issue.

We just added a Palazzo pool cabana for Sunday realizing the US Open final round is that Sunday and we need a TV. Venetian cabanas went badly for me last trip . Also I like the cabana to be open to the pool, not totally closed off like the nicer new ones. The 32” vs 75” TV is a bit of a downgrade but it’s also half the price.

They have some pretty tasty brews! Jalapeño is really good but if I drink more than a couple gives me heartburn! A winter brew they have is Snowbeast, now that is fairly potent!

Im addicted to "comping myself" first class 6'3 250ish, coach doesn't bode well for me transcon. With diamond elite this year 600 off it only cost $224 from PHL to LAS first class on united RT, I'll take it, even if I did give up drinking.

That’s a great deal, I’ve been a United 1K the past few years but downgraded to Platinum this year since I quit working in NYC. It’s been nice being able to actually use up all the upgrades on crazy cheap flights!

Insanely quick transit from home to they security. Unlike the old days the traffic to O”Hare is negligible rather than bumper to bumper, and using CLEAR I was thru security in less than a minute. House to gate in 20 minutes. Crazy!

Very few people with no mask and more people with a mask and a face shield as compared to when I flew in July. I’ve seen a few people with an N95 and another cloth mask over it. Saw 2 people with no mask in the entire airport, I’m assuming they just forgot for a couple minutes, also saw a few eating or drinking.

It’s so weird how weird it feels to see someone with out a mask now. It’s almost a shock to the system!
