Great day on the golf course! The mat only warm up def did not help my game, but still had a few really nice shots. Driver was trash most of the day, 2-way miss not helped by being unable to hit on the range. But had some nice iron shots into many of the holes and good tee shots on the layup holes. Really liking my new Callaway Rogue FW woods and hybrid and finally got to hit them a bunch warming up since couldn’t hit drivers.

Our buddies won our inaugural tournament thanks to 3 straight birdies mid-round, we could only match the first 2 as on the 3rd they got up and down from 237 yards for birdie while we double bogeyed the hole with two balls OB .

We are calling it the “Rehab is for Quitters Invitational” and the trophy has been dubbed “The Wooden Shaft”, at least while this goes are holding it!!

However an abundance of Tangerine white claw made it all better, at least until the next morning!!!!

I feel like the pics of the hookers & blow are frowned upon in this establishment

I have actually been losing a little bit of weight on this trip only eating once or maybe twice a day, also I don’t finish a lot of the food, and usually walk 5 miles per day.

For that particular meal, I wanted the French toast but didn’t want to break my breakfast burrito streak so go both. The French toast to my dismay was filled with nuts and berries. . I hate any 7-grain or 11-grain bread that has sunflower seeds and this was exactly that, but also had some other green nut. It sucked. I ate almost 1 piece. The breakfast burrito also was trash, I ate a couple bites less than half. So I wasn’t even overly full when I went to the pool immediately after.

Leg 3 of this trip is being cancelled because I miss my kids too much. They are coming down to Scottsdale for the winter with me the day after Thanksgiving. 3 weeks has been too long to be away from them, and at ages 18, 16, and 12 they won’t be around the house that much longer.

There are way too many kids at this resort and I prefer to be annoyed by my own kids.

Now that this trip report is coming to a close I would like to make some final reviews, I’ll address both legs of the trip.

    Travel:
    United Airlines-fantastic. 9/10.
    Interstate highway system 10/10.

    Hotels:
    Venetian-fantastic 9/10. Restaurants and hotel
Room and pool cabana and general vibe and service is fantastic. I love the Venetian and palazzo. This is def my home post remodel.

Wynn-4/10. Room they gave me was total trash, VP bar and general casino vibe and general employee attitude is awful. Drink service was fantastic. Crowd is old. Pool service was really good. They need to get rid of all the old crabby workers it’s getting more like Caesars every day. The younger cocktail
Chicks at pool and casino are the best I’m the business though. But the dealers and whoever else you have to deal with seem annoyed to serve you and why the hell is that sports book bar never open. Shitter 10/10.

Cosmo—10/10. I had a great time at Cosmo and quickly forgot Wynn. Everyone is so friendly and have great attitude. Also the place is just cooler. The workers seem to genuinely enjoy their lives. The room is much better. I don’t love the pool but you just have to get the day bed and then it’s great.

Westin Kierland: 10/10. LOVE THE PLACE. Great food. The grounds are breathtaking.

Fairmont Princess: 3/10. Too many kids, aging property. Average food. Reminds me of those shitty Disney properties. The room is huge and nice though. I have a casita which is like its own separate building with a balcony. Would not stay again.

    Golf:
Apache Wells, Mesa, AZ 10/10. Great fun easy track and value. Great condition always.
Bears Best, Vegas 9/10. Fuck your cart path only but it was a great course.
Royal Links, Vegas 5/10. The other guys liked it, I thought it was a dog track.
Holmes GC Lincoln NE. 7/10. My home course. They cut down and didn’t replace numerous strategic trees, it’s too open now. Great value.
Pioneers GC Lincoln NE 9/10. Great course and value.
Wildhorse Gothenburg, NE—7/10. Great course but greens are too difficult for my skill level and I am pretty good putter. Moreso they are too hard to hold for my crap iron game. Probably a great course for scratch golfers.
Fossil Trace, Golden, CO—10/10 my favorite of trip.
Kierland 1, Scottsdale, AZ—8/10. Great layout.
TPC Champions, Scottsdale, AZ—2/10. Way overpriced for trash course. Greens slow. Mats only on range is a joke. When this was $60 back I’m the day it made sense. For $99 for twighlight it sucks.

I’ll conclude the trip report here as all that remains is one last pool day and the lengthy drive home. Thanks all for reading and hope there was enough degen gambling hits to keep it interesting between all the golf, pools, and breakfast burritos!!!

Agree with the crabby workers, although Caesars is still miles clear. I'd rather lose $200 in Wynn than $100 in Caesars.....
Pool service I had the opposite - one and done for me for food. Waited an obscene time for tenders or similar, fruit and a drink, and all I got was a check for about $70 and a load of lip. Never going to be hungry enough to elect for that again.

    Hit the ball straighter

Nice trip, and great TR, wpwp.

Isn’t that the truth. 5 miles + golf cart to ball. Wynn shitter walks etc.

Slow check for me was at Fairmont. Wynn now they close it each delivery, 18% auto gratuity.

Fantastic, entertaining, beautiful (loved so many of your photos) and super informative report. Never learned so much about golf!

It was a winning trip gambling wise but most important it was clearly a winning trip in terms of the great times you had with your crew.

    Safe travels back home.

Another great TR @BeeeJay, but out of the entire thing, the bolded comment above was the best part. I literally spit out my coffee when I saw this and have been laughing for a solid 30 seconds lol.

Reminded me of one of those throw away comments that the show Family Guy did so well (in the first few seasons at least) and were nestled in otherwise normal discussions.

Maybe that was where the Hookers and Blow were in the TR? Quietly hidden behind the scenes in the Wynn restroom.

Fantastic report! I've taught my kids the "there ain't no law when you're drinking Claw!" Appreciate the golf reviews as well - Scottsdale's on the list. First Bandon, then maybe Scottsdale.. Have a good time with the kids.
