    My Trip Report

This is my first attempt at live reporting and I make no promises. Rather than a play by play I will probably just post comments and impressions as I go. More than happy to answer questions.

Here with wife, son and daughter in law. I play enough to score a comped room but this time my wife also. I booked when they were still closed and doubt she will qualify again but this time scored adjoining gulf facing rooms. Kids had never been here and after checkin we hit the pool. Wow, busiest I have ever seen it. Hopefully it won't be that way the rest of the week. We may have to rent a cabana if it is. Service was painfully slow and the order was not accurate. A bacon cheeseburger without bacon, a caesar salad with no dressing.

In the room now sipping scotch and waiting for the gang to hit the casino. Did a quick walkthrough and it was busy. Saw o e $15 bj table, the rest were 25&50. Slots have moved, no smoking area has moved (to the area around the player's club). Didn't see wife's fave- Game of Thrones. Will check in again soon.

Following along. Last time I was there in January that Thrones slot was near the players club in a circular bank of 8 slots.
Service at the pool sounds bad and not like the Beau I know. Then I don't do the pool.

So the good news from last night is that my wife and the kids are up about 100 each, using just $20 and some free play. The kids hit blazing 7s, wife on the Vacation slot. The bad news is I could never gain any traction and took a beating at the blackjack tables.

It's a beautiful morning and we are back in the room after our usual walk along the beach and downtown. Hoping lots of folks check out today and service improves. I will say cocktail service on the floor was decent.

You picked a good time to arrive. We had rain down here every day last week. I think the pool service will get a little better as a lot of the weekend people depart. I will guess that you picked up that ALL bars have to close early now (11 PM) due to governor's edict. You can still get drinks on the floor but the bars are supposed to close.

Spent the morning at the pool. Still busy but service better. Took a spin through Hard Rock followed by our favorite food here, chargrilled oysters at Adventures Pub a couple blocks away. Great oysters.

If anyone plays VP that sports book area behind the Snacks site has great machines and is quite compared to the casino floor.

Beware the mask police....I saw someone actively smoking sitting at a slot with no one around and the slot attendant came by and told the guy to pull up his mask over his nose....I was in the sports book at 7am literally by myself and hadn't seen a soul for well over an hour with my mask just lowered so I could actually breathe and some guy comes in and tells me to raise it up to cover my nose....the closest person to me was at least 50 yards away and outside in the casino (those of you who have been in there know what I am talking about it is quiet and the video poker is 9/5 DDB at .25) ...I mean can we have a little common sense please????? I get the whole that's the rule, but it is not like people are not wearing them at all..... I do find it interesting that before July 3, the casinos that weren't requiring masks (all but Harrahs and Beau) were much fuller (and a better atmosphere) than the ones that required them...and then everyone had to have them...

We have found the mask enforcement here pretty lax compared to Cherokee a month ago.

And, as Jim Croce once saud, "I've come to get my money back." Got a chunk of last nights loss back just now. In fir 300, out for 800.

Oh, and I am kind of proud of this- I cleaned the bar in the sports book out of Johnnie Walker black (the best I can qualify for). Now on Jameson

Sorry for letting this report fade away. Back home now and a recap:

Service and food got better everywhere after Sunday. We had good food in the sports bar, Terrace Cafe, snacks, BR Prime and poolside. We also ate offsite at Adventures, Half Shell and Mcelroys. The oysters at Adventures were deemed the best single thing we ate. Excellent lunch at Half Shell (the freestanding one, not the one in the Hard Rock). Food was just ok at Mcelroys but the service and views were great.

As far as gaming, I relocated the money I won at Cherokee. I guess the people of Mississippi need it more. We missed bubble craps and the horse races that we feel like we can have fun at and play for a while with low volatility. Craps and carny games never dropped below $15 minimum.

But even with the bad gaming outcome, the Beau and the area around it is still one of our favorites.

Thanks for the report. I'm considering Biloxi or Tunica as an alternative to Vegas here so I can drive somewhere and have a bit more control of coming/going than if I flew to Vegas. Alhough Biloxi is a 12 hour drive for me, so that might be a bit extreme. But this was helpful.

Regarding tables, how crowded were they? I'm mainly a craps player, and disappointed to hear they never dropped below $15, especially mid-week for when you were there. But were they packed? And was it like one $15 table and they rest $25, or was $15 easy to find?

    Thanks again for the information.

@FuzzyDiceCraps I prefer Biloxi because there is more to do but Tunica is 4.5 hour drive and Biloxi is 9 hour drive so unless we get a free plane offer to biloxi we drive to Tunica. I still prefer the Gold Strike and Horseshoe in Tunica for craps. But I do enjoy playing craps at the Beau Rivage, IP, Hard Rock and Golden Nugget in biloxi. I havent played craps very much at the other places in Biloxi.

Thanks for this report. My wife and I are in the middle of trying to decide if we want to cancel our Vegas trip and drive to Biloxi instead. The bars not being open in Vegas is one of our main concerns as well as having to fly to get there.

I'm glad you had a good time down here and am really glad that you like Adventures. I am in a Mardi Gras marching club (Ole Biloxi Marching Club) and we have a weekly club meeting on Wednesday nights at Adventures. I go down there other days to play Buzztime Trivia. Adventures is pretty much my favorite bar/restaurant down here. If you are ever there on a Wednesday and see some reserved tables full of loud, heavy drinking guys, come over and say hello.
