Just looking for confirmation from higher level Bconnected members

Level just gets you additional perks (ex. Free parking, cutting lines)

ADT is what determines comp offers . .

Just like most other Player's Clubs, right?

I guess in general yes. Theo/action determines offers & comps.
But not sure about ADT. After so many years I still don't know if they care about only your total trip action or they also care about how many days.
I tend to believe they don't care how many days.

My brothers and I have been comparing our postcard offers for years and have never been able to make sense of them. With roughly the same level of play one brother moved up in free rooms at El Cortez while two others dropped off. At Boyd I moved up a tier one year and after a two year drought I no longer receive free room offers. My wife, however, barely gave them any play(she used my card) and she is still getting two free nights.

Another possible evaluation factor would be actual results.

Well there is also the points earned factor. Ruby is 1 to 1, Sapphire is 2 points for every point earned and Emerald earns 3 points for every point earned.

So if I run $100 through, I'd earn 100 Bconnected points as Ruby, 200 as Sapphire and 300 as Emerald. Those points can be used for food and beverage at a 40% discount on the price.

From my point of view, I consider BConnected offer better benefits for higher tiers
than other clubs (Mlife, Total Rewards, Stations).
I used the tier discount at various buffets (or free buffets) a lot.
That alone is better than any other clubs.
Noir of Mlife doesn't even get a penny discount at their buffets.
(Well, I do understand most Noir players don't eat at the buffets.)

Just curious, are you thinking about giving Boyd some action?

My wife gets a couple of good Boyd perks at IP in Biloxi. Monthly $150 spa credit and a weekly $50 food credit. Funny thing is we use this perk at IP when we take an MGM junket. She is Emerald with Boyd. I'm the lowest tier with MGM.

Those MidWest Boyd casinos still have good benefits for higher tiers.
But Vegas casinos are offering less and less.

I also can't make sense of the offers. Last trip I went with a buddy we both started at zero points. We paid for our rooms up front and gambled for 3 days. I earned sapphire and he remained ruby. I lost about $500 he won about $100 for the trip. I had $13,000 coin in on VP over the 3 days, he had maybe $1000. Every hand of blackjack we played we played together, I averaged $50 a hand, him $15. At the end of the trip they comped off my room stay, but not him. We are planning a trip next month, I had no room offers online, nor did he. We both called and talked to a host, they offered me casino rate, they offered him a comped room for the stay. I can't figure that damn place out, so instead I am staying at the Downtown Grand.

Yes...it all seems to be a mystery.....and changes often! I barely made Sapphire and have a couple nights comped with some free play. Not going til December, so hopefully some offers will be available then!

I dunno what I did to Boyd...but I've been continually getting free rooms from them since like 2013, and I'm super in inconsistent with play...as a matter of fact, we're going to stay at Orleans in October, just to have no requirement of expected play and low limits haha.

It was your last hurrah at MSS as a free man prior to the nuptials thing. I lost my drivers license at a machine and they had it in the security office. When retrieving it I saw your 8x10 is still prominently displayed on their wall.
They said I looked somewhat familiar but to just be careful in the future. Those in the background were a little blurry and buzzed. Caution! Your mug was clear and a new haircut won't do it.

Seriously I don't make / can't make sense either. However the only hosts (2) I have ever had interaction with were from Boyd properties-Orleans and MSS. The first was luck-of-the-draw walking in and asking for a dinner comp and being told to come back at the end of the stay for a review. This was back around 2006 and was quite a pleasant relationship until about 2013 when she "retired" for a bit. Although back now, I discovered MSS and haven't looked back.
Back then my wife played video poker for nickels and got little sleep and I preferred craps and blackjack at the 5$ level. We felt greatly over comped. After she left the "new" guy was not so forthcoming (as in 50% of so) of the previous comp level. Never expected suites just food and rooms. We looked around, read the board and tried DT at California and MSS.
Joe gave me the name of a lady at MSS and I floated a few dates etc. She was very nice and cordial but hemmed and hawed a bit so upon checking out by coincidence met a different lady who said it really didn't matter who set us up, just ask for her and mention the offer in the future (if any) and how many nights we REALLY needed.
It was like the lady at Orleans had come back as a Hawaiian. So we are happy. We also play .25 vp at the bar 95% of the time we are there on one card and craps sessions are twice a trip (usually). Bartenders are most cordial (we are but simple people) and quite attentive.
I have mentioned this before but every 15-16 free nights I give her an envelope with 100$ in it and a note thanking her for her time and attention. She is most appreciative. I figure it is a no-brainier and much cheaper than a resort fee elsewhere. So two birds one stone.

So ramble over. I think the solution at Boyd is to find the right relationship (like others mention Hunter has been or Curtis at the Plaza) and not short play them. Corporate offers for play seems too black and white in my opinion. We are happy, don't pay resort fees, and are treated almost as well as the Hawaiians (that's a joke son!). To each his/her own and good luck to all. (Hell, don't be greedy, just be happy!)(unless happiness is just being greedy.)
