    Hey,

A lot of people have recommended Bavette's as a good location on the Strip. I have booked a New Years Day reservation and have looked at the menu and it seems quite limited. There are like 4 apps on the entire menu. Is the real menu more expansive? And if not, what are some of your recommendations that are must try?

    Thanks.

Fried chicken fried chicken fried chicken fried chicken

If you Google the menu, it's on the Bavette's website (it's on the ParkMGM site, too, but without prices).

Other than that, the roasted tomato with bacon app is great, and if you like bone marrow, it's a Flintstones-sized serving. The roast chicken and the pork chop are good, but not as good as the fried chicken. Favorite sides are Brussels sprouts, elote corn, and charred broccoli (the mashed potatoes are good, but the fried chicken comes with a side of them already). Favorite dessert is lemon meringue pie, though I'll eat most of the others if forced.

I am not a fan of Bavettes. But the potato sides were very good. So I can recommend that

Yeah, you better watch your mouth speaking about my beloved, you... :cuss::D

Seriously, the fried chicken and the burger. I do like the steaks but Bavette's, to me, is in a little niche as "the steakhouse where all the non-steak items are actually the best".

I never thought about it that way, but you're 100% right. I don't generally eat beef, so I've never had any of the steaks, but I absolutely love Bavette's. It's probably my favorite restaurant in Vegas right now. And that's because of how good the non-steak dishes are.

I've had a great filet everytime I've ordered one and the shrimp scampi were excellent as well if you love garlic but my favorite recently is the burgers which is in my top 3 burgers.

We just ate there again last trip, the goat cheese is our normal app of choice but I can recommend the tartare it was great. I went burger again with the thick cut bacon added, it’s amazing. Steaks are solid but there are better options for that. The fried chicken is also very good, but fried chicken is very subjective based on how you grew up with it.

I did a taste test on the burger. I put it on par with Brasserie Bardot in Aria...excellent. But you can get the same $40 Bavette's burger at Side Grill Betty's for only $16 so why not get it there on another day for lunch? I'd split one burger for lunch with a side of fries (the fries are included at Bavette's).
I almost always get the bone-in rib-eye as that's my favorite steak and have always really enjoyed. Looks like I'll have to try the fried chicken when I'm there next week.
Lastly, I sometimes just get the Lyonnaise Salad which comes with 2 of those 'slab' style strips of bacon, a soft-boiled egg, and a Dijonnaise vinaigrette along with a side of their great Brussel Sprouts. (I don't like cooked tomatoes so never tried the roasted tomato salad but I've always enjoyed their food...except their desserts, which I find aren't anything great.

We enjoy the thick bacon and also like (i think) the chop salad because it comes with the same bacon. We also add a bone marrow side the whatever steak we order.

We have been twice and everything was amazing. The chicken and the gravy is ridiculously good. Also had a great steak there too. And the pies are so wonderful.

I liked the smoked salmon caesar there as a starter salad. Was not a fan of the shrimp scampi.

I am not a chop salad guy but FWIW the guy next to me at the bar there ordered it and it looks and smells appetizing. The smell of that bacon carries
