This about sums it up...
Hoping comes back next year,
now as a Red Sox fan, with Manager suspended, Sale hurt, and Betts traded Rather wait till next year Sale back, maybe Cora and we can sign Betts as FA without him playing one game with Dodgers.
sounds like a mid-July start to a season will happen.
COVID might have the last say as the Phillies (and Jays) at least temporarily close FL training facilities:
Not looking good.
Other sports but the Lightning just closed down their facility and Nick Watney is the first PGA-er to test positive in competition. It's hit several of the early workout CFB programs.
Florida is the epicenter now. Not good for the NBA
IF there is a baseball season I just read something in the Journal about MLB considering an NBA-like "bubble" model.
So it’s a standoff - 60 vs 70 game. Does anyone know why they can’t split the difference at 65 & move on?
I personally don't think we are gonna play ball. They wont finish til ???
2020 World Series Winner = Greed + Greed
Giants have also closed their training facility in Arizona.
To be honest, I am a BIG White Sox fan, and was finally looking forward to a great season.
Basically W.G.A.F., the owners bitch about a few games, the players say send out tweet's "Tells us when and where" yet they don't want to show up!
So, I go to work every day the past few months with a 20% pay cut till the end of the year, and yet the morons can't sit down and agree on something???
WHO CARES!!!! PLAYERS GO GET A REAL JOB!!!
Sorry, I had to let it go!!!
I hope none of the sports come back, and they can all practice kneeling for the next year.
Majority of players care about money more than the love of the game and just being able to play. They should realize though that if no season, no money.
I don't think there will be any baseball, football or basketball this year. Just don't see how.
I feel sorry for those who aren't players or part of the group of people who make a lot of money in sports--folks like the ticket takers, ushers, lot attendants for the loss of income but I am getting tired of a bunch of billionaires who can't make a deal with a bunch of millionaires.
I have my doubts that baseball will have season this year. I don't know how the NBA "bubble" will work because it only takes a couple of infected people in the bubble to alter the outcome of contests.
I do find it interesting that the Astros and Red Sox have been punished for cheating but some letter about the Yankees needs to be suppressed because someone might be embarrassed by it.
The general state of no sports sucks, but I am getting by and thankful for what I do have.
5 Phillies players and/or staff tested positive.
In the NHL, 3 Lightning players tested positive. Auston Matthews, super star of the Maple Leafs, tested positive.
Looking gloomy for all sports this year, 28 Clemson players in college football , Bad , gloomy.
Not sure how college football will pull off a season
