I have a two free nights offer from both Bally's (tower room) and Resorts, AC. I have never stayed at Resorts. Which one of the two has a better room? Also, which of the two has better comps?
    Thank you in advance.

have played and stayed at both----close call on the rooms----resorts tower rooms nice as are ballys tower rooms,toss-up here-----right now mid-wimter, resorts self-parking is free ,not so at ballys unless you have a platinum or higher players card,$10 midweek more on weekends and holidays, after memorial day prices go up--------be aware that even with comp rooms you will be assessed resort fees and other taxes, comes to around $18 a nite at resorts do not have the current number for ballys-----

as to comps----if you are a full play-video-poker player there is a ton of 8/5 bp at resorts at the 25c level------there are 2 banks of triple play 8/5 bonus at the 25c level at ballys plus 4 othr full-pay machines-----should point out both casinos make it almost iimpossible to accumulate comp points on those machines---

if you are a slot player or short-pay video-poker player or play the table games the edge would go to resorts from my past experience

both on the beach not far from each other------ballys is connected to Caesars -----resorts sits by itself, at one time was connected to the now closed taj mahal--

Resorts will comp better than Ballys. But not a whole lot better. I would go with Ballys every time. See if you can get a room in the Dennis Tower. It was updated a few years ago. Standard rooms at Resorts are pretty blah, and the property as a whole is very lack luster and older looking.

Not that Bally's casino/shops will set the world on fire, but you are connected to the Wild Wild West casino and thats connected to Caesars. So its much more of a complete complex.

Short walk to the Trop and plenty of shops like the Playground and the Walk near Ballys.

Resorts is the only one left on that end of the Pier. Taj is down and out until hard Rock opens in 2018. Who knows if Revel (TEN) will open. And the Showboat is just a shell.

Thank you. This is useful information. I am a platinum with TR, courtesy the TR credit card spending. So, parking should not be an issue. Also, I have the 3x rewards multiplier offer from TR for one of the days I am staying. I am mostly going to play craps, though I might try the Top Dollar machine for the first time. I think I will stay at Bally's but give some play to Resorts to maybe get a teaser offer in the future.

Last time I was in AC, Ballys did not have any of the real Top Dollar machines. The only ones I saw to play were in the high limit section of Caesars. They were multi-denom so $1, $5, $10, $25. They also had a Phoenix Gold that I did well on, if you like Top Dollar.

As for your second part, I have never been a fan of seeding another club while staying comped elsewhere. If you take a third of your daily bankroll and walk all the way down to resorts, you wont look like the player you truly are. Plus you would now be rated less with Total rewards since you did not have that extra money to drive up your coin-in. Same with tables games in theory.

Play up your total rewards cards, and if you really want to check out somewhere new, go see Tropicana. Very easy to get rated there and, IMO, its the biggest and best place on the Boardwalk.
