To me Bally’s isn’t even at option between the two. PH and Cosmo are my two favorite places to stay. Aside from the entertainment, the rooms at PH are really nice. We always stay in the strip suite and it is perfect. The ONLY downside to PH though is the pool is so loud in the morning, it wakes us up every time even if we are on the high floors.

I like PH much better, even though CET usually forces me to stay at Ballys. I am older, but the casino vibe is much better at PH. Ballys seems dead most of the time. I also like having the Miracle Mile mall connected to the casino.

We loved our stay at PH. Large room and large bathroom with soaker tub. When you step out you see Bellagio and immediately feel in the middle of the action. Bally's is cumbersome to get in and out of having to wind around tacky shops and using an escalator.

We stayed in a renovated room at PH last month. The room was very nice, but stay away from the elavators. We heard them all night long, and for whatever reason I've never had this issue in any other resort. Also, I can never get my bearings on the casino floor without looking at the signage......probably me.

Ballys rooms are nicer & larger.
PH casino is nicer & there are many more restaurant offerings.
I choose Ballys for a slightly more central location & nicer rooms--PH is close enough to gamble & eat.

I just chose PHO over Bally's. The electricity in PHO is much higher. I end up gambling with a wider spectrum of people at PHO. Faster walk to the strip. Superior tubs. Sportsbook is located in a better spot.

Bally's food options are improving, rooms are improving, I stayed there last time and it was great. It's just that Bally's best is bested by PHO's best every time.

I’m 45, but I like to party like a rockstar so of course I’m PHO but I m a huge sports bettor and Bally’s is the best for sports books and central location on the strip. I will be back in paradise in a week for my 46 birthday so bottoms up

At 3:15 you can see where the new bar will be in case anybody hasn't been for a while.

Few weeks ago stayed at PH and happy to report the AC doesn’t have a motion detection thing so it won’t go off at night

We never go out that way.
If we are going north we cross Flamingo over to Cromwell. (or you could take the sidewalk along Flamingo to the escalator without going thru the shops; one does NOT have to take that interior escalator anymore. Didn't even know it was still there)
If we are going south we walk through Paris.

The regular rooms at PH are not as nice as those at Ballys.

We like the PH casino vibe better as well.
Ballys casino is very MEH in decor & in need of a facelift but that place is ALWAYS hopping (well, other than very early)--I am always astounded how busy it is every night.

A dozen or so trips under my belt - EVERY single trip wife and I booked rooms at Harrahs properties (most stays in Harrahs & Rio; a few at Caesars, once at Paris (before resort fees))… I am 44 - wife is 42. I prefer quiet, less party atmosphere - wife is total opposite. Despite this Harrahs is my personal favorite (mainly due to location and ease of getting out of the casino and being RIGHT ON THE STRIP and Mirage is VERY EASILY accessible as is Venetian/Palazzo)….

Our last trip (this past May) we found out Rio killed the shuttle to the strip - Rio is no longer our home casino (I'm okay with this)… The main reason Rio became our home casino is pool is important for the wife - she prefers a pool with a little atmosphere but not a party pool where most of the women are young, fit (unlike her). Rio fit the profile and was perfect.

So we were trying to choose between Ballys & Linq. (Flamingo was out because of pool). Linq will ALWAY be IP and pool is similar to Harrahs (nothing spectacular and boring) so we went with Ballys (trying something different).

    PROs:
    • Jubilee room - decent size and clean
    • Pool - better than Harrahs but nothing spectacular
    • Connected to Paris (you can walk from one to the other without going outside) - coincidentally wife spent all pool time at Paris; never went to Ballys
    • Location on the strip
    • Vicinity to Linq high roller (stop for Orleans/ shuttle drop-off)
    • Shops right outside casino as well as mini food court in back of casino to grab quick bite
    • Shops inside the casino
    Cons (Complaints):

    • We arrived around 1:30AM on a Saturday night to check-in. We got a Jubilee room but was stuck ALL THE WAY AT THE END of the hallway. Very long walk to/from room/elevator
    • Escalator going into casino was operational; escalator going out was not. (I recall someone on this board mentioning they NEVER recall a time when BOTH escalators were operational)
    • Casino atmosphere seemed very dull and depressing. I did not like it - AT ALL! Most of our play for 5 days/4 nights were at other properties (mostly other CET properties (mainly Planet Hollywood, Paris, Harrahs)

First time staying at Ballys - also the last time. I prefer Paris over Ballys while wife prefers PH. Definitely a younger crowd at PH and a much livelier atmosphere in the casino. Ballys was REALLY dull and boring - EVERY NIGHT we were there.

Sorry for the long post - PH over Ballys (my personal opinion)

The last 8 years I have been to Vegas with a group for Super Bowl. The party is at Paris and most all stay at Paris and Ballys. I stayed a Paris the first year and was not a fan. My favorite place to gamble is PH. Its just so fun and lively that is takes the sting out of a losing BJ session. I branched off year 2 and started staying at PH and love it. Great location, so many amenities at your fingertips and fun lively atmosphere for gambling.

PH all day. I didnt like Bally's too much, as no buffet, no air vent on windows wall, no way to turn air vent in bathroom.

Please clarify what you mean about the bathroom. I don't recall any hotel having the needed air vent in the bathroom or an option to turn one towards it? Thanks.
