I emailed one of my buddies to tell him we're getting on a plane to Vegas in just a little over a month. To which he replies, "uh, I don't think I can make it now." Turns out his trip to Vegas got sucked up into the balky transmission on his girlfriends car. So he, and his girlfriend, and his roommate, are out. That's the bad news. 
My buddy offered to pay the re-booking fee if we reschedule, but my banker buddy from Chicago is still in, so my wife suggests that I just go with him now, and she and I do a couples trip with Mr. and Mrs. Transmission later in the year. So one trip turns into two - and my wife suggested it - right on!
So this weekend I'm meeting my banker buddy in Madison to tutor him on the finer points of table games, and I added a one night stay at the pyramid, per his request. T-25 and counting for trip#1 ...
