    My Trip Report

    Thursday:
We headed towards Vegas to spend our first night at the Gold Strike in Jean, Nv. located about 13 miles past the state line of Cal and NV. Had the buffet there and it was OK but nothing special. Played VP, Craps and BJ with no big wins or losses. They have $2 craps with double odds and $2 BJ. Someone had asked me to check on the pools hours of operation and it opens at 7:30 am.

    Friday:
Checked into the Plaza and got a 2 bedroom suite #2244 on the 22nd floor of the south tower. They have just remodeled this floor and it is truly beautiful. My brother and his wife arrived around 1:00 and they hit the VP machines immediately and played them for the three days of our stay. After the first day I checked with the casino boss to find out how much comps that they had accumulated and he said they had over $400 coming to them in food comps plus some cash. Not too bad for less than 24 hours of play.
Got a message on my cell phone from Mike_in_KC that his plane was late and he might not make it to the Plaza for our meet.
Mikey showed up at the Keno Bar around six or so and we did some talking and he shared some of the finer points of the MM2 party. I must say that Mikey is just as charismatic in person as he is on this board. We played some craps and BJ and went to the room for a couple drinks and introduced him to my wife.

    Saturday:
Had brunch at the MSS Buffet and it was very good as usual.
We went to Sam’s Town for a couple of hours to see a friend of mine who works for them. The new Western Store there is very nice.
Mike_in_KC showed up on Saturday with his wife and they are very nice people. I gave him a tour of the Plaza and he now plans on staying Downtown on his future visits. They ate at the Center Stage and said that they were very pleased with the food and the price.

    Sunday:
Spent the day gambling and lost again just like every day of my trip. Never did get way ahead or way behind so I really can’t complain. Mike KC came by in the evening and we played some BJ together and had some laughs at the same time. We both agreed that the T2V board is the greatest.

Of note: The Plaza showroom should be open in a few weeks. They fixed it up pretty nice and put in a new sound system. They have some new people in the Omaha Lounge that are pretty good. Not a bad place to spend some non-gambling time. The food in their small buffet was very good this time also.
Also, I have ten rooms blocked for next years MM3. The boss told me that we could get casino rates or less depending on play. We can start a list of people that are interested in about six months or so.

Just remodeled? I thought Jer's suite looked pretty nice, and loved the view (you must have had it too) of the north tower Plaza sign at night.

The man already has rooms for MM3.

Thanks for the pool info at GS Don.

Is that an early morning shot of the Plaza pool? Doesn't look like much of a crowd.

    Jacko,
The pool at the Plaza is never busy. Most people that stay there don't even know that there is a pool. There is always plenty of lounge chairs and they supply towels.
