Hi Everyone!
We just got back from our first stay at the Signature. We have always stayed at Planet Hollywood, even when it was still the Aladdin. We wanted to venture and try something new.
I booked this on Travelzoo thru www.luxurysuitesinternational.com They have a awesome rate of $89 for the jr suite, even on weekends!! We were given the exact same amentities as if we booked thru the main MGM website, only at a fraction of the cost.
The room was very nice. HUGE bathroom, with a gigantic whirpool tub. Our 6yr old loved playing ( swimming more like it) everyday. The room had a microwave, coffeemaker, mini fridge, oven top, and all the cooking essentials needed. The bed was soooo comfy. Even the pull out couch was comfy.
The Signature sat about 5 mins away from the strip. You can access the Planet Hollywood mall from the side street , Harmon. This made it nice to hit the mall quickly without getting on the strip. The one adjustment we had to make as it was very cold and windy this past weekend ( we are AZ natives!). But not unbearable.
I have read in the past people complaining about the distance between MGM and the Signature. Really, only about a 5 min walk to the food court, not a big deal. The room service at the Signature is really, really good. We were so tired the first night we ordered up burgers and boy, they were yummy!
The pool area looked really nice as well. Way too cold to enjoy. In the summer, I think it would be lovely and much nicer than the Planet Hollywood pool.
If you can get the reduced rate on Luxury Suites International, go for it! They were so helpful and we did not have any issues. We were treated the same by everyone as if we booked thru MGM. We will go back soon. We already have reservations over Thanksgiving at PH and might try Venetian or Plazzo depending on rates!
The Signature really was beautiful and 5 stars. I would recommend if you are looking to be slightly off the strip, want peace and quiet, and a romantic getaway. The mini kitchen was nice especially having our daughter with us.
