I'm staying at the Avi Resort and Casino in Laughlin in October for a wedding close by. Anyone ever stay there? Good? Great? OK? Cancel the reservation now? any thoughts would be appreciated... thanks!

We stayed there a few years ago, mostly b/c we wanted to play the golf course across the road. It was fine ... esp as they upgraded me to a large room/semi suite. Didn't use the beach area but it looks nice. Played some, my friend's wife actually won some. Food was fine.

You could try looking at TripAdvisor, but I think it's fine.

I have never stayed there, but played there.

Avi is the ONLY place in (the) Laughlin (area) where I have done any good, gaming wise.

The only negative thing I can think of is that it's far far far far out in the sticks! Like almost to the California line IIRC.

One other thing is that they have that "secret" bridge to the Arizona side kind of in the back of the property.

    Hi,
It is far removed from everything -- but that can be a plus. It is a great place to relax. I have a friend and co-worker from Bullhead City originally who now lives in Vegas. She will ONLY stay at the AVI as it is a good place to RELAX. Slots are reportedly loose.

Some people really like it. For me, its just an average Indian casino. maybe I am soured on them but with actual nevada casinos right down the street I stay at them instead. Nothing wrong with Avi though, nice place. It is a stand alone place though so if the wedding is there then its fine, if its in laughlin then stay in Laughlin.

Last time I there about 4 yrs ago. Had 1 dollar min tables during the day. Actually got the wife and her sister to play craps. Was her first time. Also has a gas station in the corner of the parking lot. With pretty cheap booze , smokes and fireworks . But they have a small water park outside, movie theater, arcade and bingo also. So may be a few kids running around the place. If your looking for a value this is the place. If not the other casinos are only about 20 / 30min north. Never stayed though.
