Here it goes. . .
Before I start, a couple things. Most Trip Reports go by days. . .I have alot of pics and after day one it all gets fuzzy and runs together
. So this TR will be mostly filled with fun pictures and funny stories.
Both of my best friends from high school live in Vegas and I didn't get to see either one of them(but I did get to hang out with my Goddaughter cause she drove back with us from Vegas to SD to see her grandma). Lynnie was there and I didn't get to have my beer with her
. One of my bartenders was there that weekend for her brothers wedding and even though technically we aren't supposed to hang out, we had a plan. . .which fell through and I didn't see her either. That said. . .
Left SD about 6 am and the drive was good until we passed Victorville and it started to get a bit warm. I was still a little drunk from the night before so the drive went really good for me. I hope the fowlloing story is as funny now is it was when it happened. . .Teddy and I stopped at a rest stop somewhere out of somewhere
You know those hand drying machines??? They have a picture of those wavy lines that are supposed to be the air drying your hands?? Well Teddy came out of the bathroom laughing so hard he was almost in tears. Someone had carved (yes carved) 'PRESS HERE RECEIVE BACON' underneath that picture. Teddy and I are laughing just remembering it.
So the rest of the drive is cool. We stop in Baker for some Del Taco and learn it's 104 degrees. As we get back on the freeway we decide it's finally time for the AC. About 48 seconds after that we see the sign that says 'To keep from overheating do not use air conditioning for the next 16 miles'. . .we decide God hates us, but we keep the AC on anyway (we were fine for the next 16 miles).
We get to Vegas. . .get off the freeway and go by the Chapel we got married at. Have a quick I LOVE YOU and some smoochies at the stop light and we are on our mary way. . .did I mention it's HOT??
Get to the Flamingo and check in. It went easy, we were happy to be out of the 108 degree weather and into the below zero AC'ed degree weather of the hotel. Room was just we wanted. . . clean, smelled good and Teddy liked the view
He was a pinch disappointed to realize that the 'GO 21 & up, top optional' pool was covered buy some really stall trees. We spent enough time in the room to make a drink, drink it, make another drink and head for the pool
I took a similiar picture of Teddy in the pool but mine was a close up. . .he opted to zoom out and get the big boobied lady in the shot (no not me, the lady to the right).
Comment. . .the pool at the Flamingo is awesome! waterfall, mini-slides and fabulous drink service made. . .great. There was actually a point where my waitress came and found me in the pool
That was the intro. . .I swear I will finish tomorrow.
