    My Trip Report

We stayed overnight at the Hard Rock in Atlantic City for my 50th Birthday. I had gotten the free room by tier matching from my Diamond Total Rewards (which I got from Wyndham--Hitlton Gold-Amex Plat).

They did a good job with the Hard Rock decor. The casino is nice, but you can feel the old bones of the hotel in the Elevators which were slow and sometimes "shaky". Our room was nice, we had an issue with the HVAC which they came up within 5 minutes and resolved.

We did and the "Poker Room" escape room at the Tropicana. This was a lot of fun and highly recommend if you like escape rooms.

We had free buffets at the Hard Rock Fresh Harvest buffet. I would say the selection was meager but the food quality was ok. We also then had dessert at the Sugar Factory since we wanted to try one of the big drinks. It was very sweet and difficult to drink because of how sweet it was. I would not get again, but wanted to try once.

I didn't do a live report since it was only 1 day. I did VLOG however. There are ultimate fire link slot bonuses at the end of the VLOG.

I will also have separate videos of the room and buffet in the next few days.

Those drinks at Sugar Factory gave me the worst hangover I think I've ever had.

We only drank about half. That's all we could take.

It wasn’t the 15 other cocktails, was it? :drunk:

@Fligster, a great video, tight editing and I can tell you put time into these vlogs. They move along at a nice clip. Thanks for the heads up regarding the second self park entrance at Hard Rock. I especially liked the walk down the boardwalk to the Trop. Not sure if you noticed, but the Landshark Bar in front of Resorts is being expanded and will be ready for the Summer Season. I haven’t tried the Biergarten along the boardwalk, it’s on my list.

We hit the Fresh Harvest buffet before the Frankie Valli concert a month ago. It was really packed, but the tickets to the show let us into the VIP line and $5 off. We don’t do Buffets that much primarily due to the typical long wait, but the biggest reason is that most of them are overpriced for what is offered. The Waterfront Buffet at Harrah’s comes to mind, I think it’s $40. I liked the Fresh Harvest Buffet, the prime rib was good, they had nice sized chilled shrimp and great desserts.

    Nice report and video.

I agree that the buffet gets the job done but is nothing spectacular.

With your tier match you should have hit up the legends lounge. They usually have some nicer options for food. The wife loves that they always have sushi in the lounge.

Enjoyed your VLOG.... even though I am familiar with AC, you showed things/places I have never been to... the Escape Room for one! and the Sugar Factory for another!! I understand your wife being afraid of those escalators - the video made me scared -haha! thanks for sharing your trip... and Happy 50th Birthday!!

It is 10 comp dollars per person but if you matched CET Diamond you should have got one complimentary entry to the lounge for you and a guest.
