Is walking from Aria to Rio walkable as in walkable pavements?

Surprised no one has replied yet.I just think the scary part is crossing the interstate and the ramps..Would not do it at night.. A taxi is probably $15 or less w/tip best guess? Sounds like a long walk also..

Yeah, you could do it but I wouldn't. Pay a few bucks and get a cab. Much safer.

    No. That's far.

In terms of pavement, I don't know.

I regularly walk PH to the Riviera and back but there are pedestrian overpasses and such the whole way. Much safer walk if you want to get one in. I think it's a couple of miles each way.

You can walk over to Ballys and get a free shuttle to Rio. I think it runs every half hour.

I thought the shuttle runs from Harras to Rio. Until midnight they run like every 15min, then after it's every 30. At least it used to be.

There is a shuttle to Rio from both Harrah's and Bally's.

We rolled luggage from Rio to Bally's once. I regretted trying to save ~$10. It's a walkable path, but annoying and longer than it seems. Took us ~30 minutes to get to Bally's from Rio.

And totally agree about do NOT walk this at night. Daytime, meh...if you want to get exercise and feel like seeing Rio/Gold Coast/Palms, it's okay. Walking down flamingo to the west is slightly worse than Tropicana to the west, imo. I walked back along tropicana after visiting in-n-out my one and only time.

If you're just looking for a walk with no particular goals, I would follow BCMike's suggestion. And walk on the Rivera side for that one! We made the mistake of walking on the other side for that one on our first trip... And hell, walk to the Riv anyway! It's closing!!! And I just booked for late April! I might be walking to the Riv too!

My very first trip out there I walked with a buddy from the Rio to Ballys then south to Tropicana where we played for a while. I left him at the Tropicana and walked back to the Rio. Is it walkable, yes. Would I recommend walking it, NO! Especially if you are not in comfortable shoes.... I could barely stand the next morning after wearing new dress shoes during that walk.

Hell, I once walked Mirage to NY-NY with luggage and wanted to die by the end of it. To be fair, it's probably more because of the fact that it was August, and I was in jeans and a blazer, and I had luggage, but the bottom line is that it's important to remember how much farther away that it looks everything is in Vegas.

True story. The west side of the Strip is intensely annoying to walk, especially because of the Bellagio/Caesars nonsense.

I walked it once. Pavements are fine but crossing the roads :nono:
For the cost of a cab I wouldn't do it again
