As most of you know, I love the amenities of the Aria spa and have enjoyed them countless times. However they've unfortunately hiked their admission price to $100 for hotel guests only, which has me thinking that with the massages starting at $170 I might as well just get one of those and enjoy the included admission to the amenities.

When it comes to actual spa treatments, I'm not a very experienced patron. I've had a number of good massages elsewhere and know you generally cannot go wrong by just booking a standard massage and communicating with the RMT about what you want. However I have seen chatter here and elsewhere giving specific praise to the Aria spa and certain types of massages offered there... so I'd love to get input from anyone who might have some recommendations in this regard.

Also, any idea if there's a discount on spa services for MGM Gold card holders? Guessing there isn't, but thought it couldn't hurt to ask.

Only discount I'm aware of is the locals discount on Monday-Thursday, unfortunately.

Canyon Ranch Spa is even better and they give 10% discount to people who have a players card.

Just as an FYI, the Aria day pass dropped to $75, at least during the week.

Last week! I think you can only get a day pass if you're staying at Vdara/Aria though. Unsure about any Gold or above discounts, been meaning to ask.

We got massages there recently. I would highly recommend the therapist I had but cant remember her name. For me, its hard to spend that money on a day pass when entrance is included with a massage. Also, unaware of any discounts for Gold or Plat.

No discount for players card. Asked when we were there in August.

@pleasemum mentioned that Canadian extended health benefits might work for a massage therapist in the US. My plan clearly states that it's only for RMTs in BC so no go for me.

I used it for years when staying at Aria - always had my health plan cover the service. Saw Michelle P for numerous visits - I thought she was very good. But here is the thing....I believe massage therapists and their style a lot depends on the client and their personal preferences. A friend of mine had referred me to her massage therapist in Toronto and I thought she was just okay but my friend said she was absolutely the best.

It wasn't long ago when the cost of the Aria Day Use Spa was under $50.
