I was at the Aria last month and ended up in a 1BR SkySuite Mountain View which was wonderful. I think it was 53029. I had booked a Deluxe King and used my Platinum Suite upgrade to get a Corner Tower Suite, then a week before my stay got an upgrade offer to the SkySuite 1BR MV for ~$125/night. My first stay in 2023 I had a Corner Tower Suite which I got a free upgrade to. The SkySuite was 100% better than the Corner Tower Suite.

I am booking another stay for 3 nights in late spring/early summer 2025 and the offers I have on my account (via an email) for November are excellent. I have no desire to stay in a non-suite having been spoiled twice. Thankfully the offers are great.

I have the following options (price differentials include taxes but don't reflect the ability to deduct the cost as it's for business travel). While I could just gamble on booking a Deluxe King and hoping for the best like last year, I'd rather not risk it, especially since #1 is such a small premium over the Deluxe King and then from there the SkySuite probably just a tad more now vs hoping for a paid upgrade later.

    1. Corner Tower Suite: ~$130/night more than Deluxe King (I consider this to be my baseline)
    2. SkySuite 1 BR Penthouse Mountain View: ~$195/night more than the Corner Tower Suite
    3. SkySuite 1 BR Penthouse Strip View: ~$35/night more than the Mountain View.
Of note the NON-Penthouse SkySuite rooms are not as heavily discounted for some reason. I'd have been content in the same base SkySuite I had last time but it's actually more than the Penthouse.

I lean towards #3 (for view and steam shower for a total cost of ~$60 more after tax savings), but a few questions:

    - Are connecting rooms possible in both #2 and #3 (I'd prefer to not have a connecting room)

    - Do both #2 and #3 have bathrooms with windows? I've seen some people refer to #36 and #01 as the best rooms, why is that?

    Thank you!

Stayed in SkySuites many times, just last week we were in the 1 bedroom penthouse with strip view for the first time. So speaking on that, yes it has a connecting room option (I think they all do???) but it’s off the areas by the desk/living room, far away from the bedroom if you’re concerned about noise. I’ve never heard anyone next to us in all of my stays in the SkySuites. Also, yes it does have windows in the bathroom. This room is absolutely amazing, I can’t say enough good things about it, 100% worth the upgrade to any penthouse but once you do it’ll be hard to go back to anything less than the SkySuites

Windows in the bathrooms? I’ve never been in any skysuite that had windows in the bathroom and I’ve been in them dozens of times, unless you mean looking across the bedroom to the windows?

The penthouses are just the higher floors more or less, but the penthouse strip view will have the steam shower as you mentioned. If you have the option of a penthouse panoramic that’s my favorite room in Vegas hands down. If not, your option #3 is great too.

The one bedroom penthouse does. I was just in it last week and there’s an entire wall of windows. I have pics but the file is too big to upload.

I’ve been in the one bedroom strip view penthouse 5-6 times and they’ve never had a window in the bathroom. There must be different configurations.

The one bedroom strip view is different than the one bedroom penthouse strip view. Are you sure you were in the penthouse? It’s 300-400 sq ft larger. The bed faces the tv/windows, there’s a free floating wall behind the bed this is where the closet is. Then behind that is the bathroom, which has one door not two sliders like in the regular one bedroom. There’s a full wall of windows in the bathroom, bedroom, and living room.

There are so many different sky suites with floor to ceiling windows in the bathroom
Surprised that you haven't been in any

I always get some configuration similar to this which doesn’t have windows. I think this is a penthouse panoramic bathroom.

I’m sure as I only take the rooms with the steam showers. I usually do the penthouse panoramic. Unless I’m somehow being bait and switched with my bookings lol.

I think it was you @huskermike and @wubears71 and I that all had the same exact panoramic penthouse sky suite over a period of a couple of week

I made it a point to check out different room types within the sky suites offerings so I have
seen several bathrooms with the windows

Vdara also has some windows, although not floor to ceiling

Yes, my Vdara room had windows in the bathroom if I remember correctly, but I’ve never had them in the Skysuites weirdly.

Yep. Same room. I’m not a huge fan of the Panaromic room. It’s a goofy layout with lots of dead space. Plus the odd Pilar’s that go through the rooms are kind of a turnoff. The views are decent.

Not to hijack the thread but how much better are the Sky Suites compared to the Corner Suite?

Depends on your feelings on the decor, but I’d stay at Bellagio over a corner suite every time and I usually stay at Aria because of the skysuites. For me they’re significantly better but I’m sure some people will disagree.

Yup, I covered this suite in my October TR. I wanted the south facing PH Pano for the Trop implosion, it’s only the North side ones that have the bathroom windows.

Regardless, my new favorite suite in all of LV.
