so if two of us wanted to visit the Aria dinner buffet (Mo-Th), there are two MyVegas options available:

    15,500 for 2-for-1 dinner buffet
    39,000 for 1 dinner buffet

as two of us will go, it would make most sense to just spend 15,500? (not sure if i'm missing something? I guess the 39,000 is suitable for a solo traveller).

i'm guessing it will be easy enough to pay the additional $16.99 for the alcohol add-on?

Yes - that makes sense - if both of you were playing on separate accounts then you would purchase one each - in your case 2 for 1 sounds like a good plan.

Be sure to check the terms - many of the buffets require hotel stay

The 2-for-1 also doesn't require a hotel stay where the free one does require a stay at a MGM property.
