Trips to Las Vegas
2
Sitting in the airport and decided I would try to have a semi-live trip report. First time attempting a trip report and not even positive how to post a photo so any help would be great!

Going with my wife who had to see the Backstreet Boys while they are there. We are at the airport and leave in 40 minutes! Host has me in a mini-suite at Harrah's so we will see what that is like.

Planning to play lots of carnival games and some craps while there. Hitting VooDoo for a nice dinner and probably head downtown as well for part of a day.

Good luck and hope to see big wins! I love slot videos and seeing photos of the tables.

Checked in, got a nice Premium King room and then headed to PH to pick up our tickets for tonight. Host set us up with a couple of great tickets in section 102 for way under what they cost online. Stopped at La Pizza in Paris for 2 slices and a drink. Great pizza. Still trying to work out picture posting.

Pics pics pics!
My wife is going to BSB in June, but it was so sold out, she had to get up in the Mezzanine! (and that's from a 7* player!)

Great start to your TR!

Enjoy *BSB*!

Looks like you arrived in the Nick of time.

Howie going to see those photos? :poke:

Time for me to [Mc]Lean back and enjoy the rest of your report! :D

So, 3 hours of play at DJ Wild and Let it Ride. Down $100 which isn't bad. Heading to PH for the concert and then more playing. Average bet over $100/hand.

The Backstreet Boys put on a great show and the wife loved them. Made it back to Harrahs just before midnight and 20 hours of being awake plus lots of beer sent me straight to bed.

Glad you enjoyed the concert!

  • We Both Need This Vacation. MGM too oversold again to start.
  • A Rare Friday Night Stay at MGM!
Made it through another four hours at the tables. Luck was not on my side but hoping that will change tonight. No big hands to post pictures of. I did see someone win a grand on the giant colossal diamonds machine.

What was your section/row for the BSB show if you don't mind me asking
A 7* got us Sec 311 Row A...

Had a good end to the day. Entered the Harrahs 10 PM poker tournament. Ended up winning the whole thing.

Two major hands led me to winning, both of which I was way behind to start. 3 players left with only two cashing, I look down at A2 off in the big blind. Aggressive player on the button announces all in, chip leader folds, I call. He flips A8 off but the flop comes woth a 2 that holds up. That put him on life support and put me in a much better spot. He was knocked out shortly after.

Heads up, I started grinding and went from 35% of the chips to 65% after about 5 hands. Finally see the other player shove with blinds high. I look down at K8 of spades and call. He flip KJ off. Flop has two spades and I pick up the flush on the river to win the tournament. Lots of luck on those two hands but played solid and took several bad beats along the way so no feeling bad for anyone. Took my winnings and now back in the room hoping to have a better day tomorrow on the tables.

I still haven't hit a hand but the wife has hit trips several times on LIR ( in the hand). If I could just get one big hand I would be even.

Had a REALLY close call at UTH. Had K10 of spades and flop had AQ of spades. Drawing to the royal flush but alas, only got a regular flush...where was that jack :(

The Backstreet Boys is an almost impossible ticket to get, especially comped no matter what level you are. One of my daughters friends is a "high" 7 stars and when he asked his host about tickets she laughed and said that would not happen. There is only 20 comp tickets per show because the group wanted to make sure their fans had the tickets available to them. We are seeing them the 2nd to the last show and our tickets are in the 200' s. I've seen them so many times with my daughter, she was a young teen when they were really popular in the late 90's, early 2000's so we know it will be a great show.
