My husband's class reunion is going to be held there in a few months and was curious what the casino was like, VP paytables, rooms, etc. We're trying to decide if we want to go the day before the reunion or try to be there as little as possible. ;)

It's pretty nice for what it is.
It's been redone a couple years ago.
Some 8/5 VP but a lot of 7/5... you need to look around.
    Food is OK
    Buffets are expensive
    Smoky as hell

I knew with all the Minnesotans on VMB, someone had to have some experience with it! ;)

That was about all I could gather from the reviews online that it was very smoky. At least it will be summer so I can walk outside to get some fresh air and get away from the smoke.

Great info, thank you so much!

It's located out in the Boondocks....nothing but farmland and prairie.

We used to go and spend a weekend or two there just for fun. It is smokey. I never did any cards there, but they do have a nice selection of slots. Rooms are meh... We now go to a closer casino instead instead of driving the 3 hours for a get-away.

You should go early! The casino has had a TOTAL overhaul and is VERY nice and modern. It used to remind me of Hicksville - but not anymore. Also, on the occasional jaunt I have made over there - I've had real good luck on the slots; and have heard the same from others. I don't think it's that smokey anymore either; but again I'm usually there during the day. Can't speak to the rooms - haven't stayed there recently ....... they have all the correct rules on BJ....

    Awesome, thanks everyone!

Yes, I am aware it is in the middle of nowhere. If not for the reunion (for a high school out that way), I wouldn't be going out there! ;) I have lived in the Twin Cities for the past 12 years and I think the furthest west in the state I've been is Canterbury Park. I haven't even been to see where my husband hunts or the farmland he owns. LOL

Thank you! We have booked to go the day before now. I pretty much only play slots and VP, so that is very good to know!

After we get back, I'l let you know how the rooms are. I have read they have been updated recently. Thanks again! :D:beer:
