Both my kids have plans for the holidays so thought I might spend them in AC at the Borg.

I've never done that before and was wondering if anyone else has? I know Borgata will be decked out as I've visited before during holiday season. But I've never spent Christmas there.

I would be interested in hearing if anyone else has.

I end up in AC almost every Christmas. For us Jews it's either a Chinese restaurant or the casinos as nothing else is open. What's Christmas for me? Wednesday. It's Wednesday, that's what Christmas is this year. Same as the Wednesday that fell the week before. But as an outsider I can tell you what I experience at the casino.
Very light crowd on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. By noon on Christmas Day the crowd starts to build and by Christmas afternoon it's bustling. LOTS of Christmas sweaters on elderly women. That's Christmas to me.

Ha, ha. Thanks for the reply, smerrian. After posting, I figured it was probably like most other places during the holidays, except with gambling. Not really concerned with what Christmas Day is like. Just wondered how the crowds were. And, the ugly sweaters won't bother me. (Not that I'll be wearing one!)

I think that’s a line from a Woody Allen movie. Except he added something about being able to get a cab easier.

That's funny. I guess it's a universal American-Jewish perspective. Spend the day of Yom Kippur Day in Israel and you'll get a good inkling of what Christmas is like for Jews in this country. But, I must say, it is nice that everyone's in a good mood. Wish that lasted throughout the year.

When my mom was alive we used to go on Christmas Day every year. Back then the casinos were deserted. Now it's packed and, for that reason, we no longer go. If you don't mind lines everywhere and lots of people, go and have fun.
