We have to take a taxi between the airport and downtown arriving next Saturday around 10:00 AM. Is there any construction on Paradise? Would that be the best route to tell the driver to take?

The worst was the spaghetti bowl near downtown. They are redoing the 95 freeway right after the spaghetti bowl so travel on the I15 in the downtown area could be busy. I notice that traffic on the I15 backs up before Charleston and sometimes by Sahara so best to stay off the I15.

You should be okay travelling on Paradise as I didn't see any closures or work on the road. There may be additional traffic since more people are taking the surface streets to avoid the I15 though.

You could always open google maps/waze and look at the traffic before you hail a taxi/lyft/etc. See what way the app recommends and ask the driver to use that way.

Airport and downtown??? I would take the freeway. I believe that both of my Uber drivers took the freeway.

Uber probably costs less, though. I've read that the freeway adds miles and should be avoided in cabs.

OK, I google mapped the route from McCarran airport to the Four Queens.

    it's 13.1 miles via I-15

    It's 6.4 miles via Paradise.
