I know that our news media can be quite fickle, but interest in ‘AMERICA’S FIRST CASINO TO REOPEN!’ seems to have ended the day before it actually reopened. I’ve tried numerous web searches and travel sites and can’t find a single word or picture concerning their current operations. Has anyone closer to Idaho seen any news?

Yep, it's open. Brian Christopher from BC slots did a live stream from there last night.

Thanks, I watched the BC slots intro, at least a little video there. I was really expecting a news crew walkthrough or at least some internet vlogger pics. Seems to me there would be a little more interest since almost every American is aware that a casino has closed down somewhere nearby.

Brian is also doing another live stream from there tonight. He did talk a bit about how conscientious they have have been, taking temperatures, limiting slots, constant cleaning etc. It was pretty surreal watching his casino play while wearing a mask.

I saw a couple comments in a Brian Christopher group on the Facebooks from people who claimed to have gone. They mentioned, lines outside of people waiting to get in because they limited inside capacity, about half of machines disabled and table game spots removed, and 10 to 30 minute waits to get on machines or in to games. All of them that I saw reported it was an overwhelmingly negative experience and that they wouldnt go back for a while until something changes. Hopefully this wont be the case in other places with a little more competition and once people work out their degenerate gambling DTs.

Edit - I should clarify these were people who went on day 1 I believe, so it may just be the initial bum rush

Looks like even if Vegas is open by some miracle memorial day, I most likely wont go (my reservation at PHo is still active) because both Delta and American cancelled my flights there. The comments on that casino decided for me to not even try and make a Biloxi run that weekend if they're open and Vegas isn't. Just not worth my time and trouble, but I did book Biloxi for a couple weeks later, so I can wait and see.

Beau Rivage booked same day as Luxor. One will win. Leaning Biloxi.
Vegas or Biloxi. Going somewhere for Labor Day weekend...

I’m not going to any casino till a mask is no longer required. I’m not against the mask requirements, but I wouldn’t consider it a vacation if I’m uncomfortable most of the trip.

Angel of the Winds casino in Arlington, Wa (about 40 min no of Sea) has also opened. I just think it's too soon for this type of business. If we get it wrong, we can't just run to the corner virus store for the fix.

Deadwood has opened today and SDGuy is doing a livestream from there in a couple hours so I am curious to see how that looks.

I watched SDguy's video last night from Deadwood. Cant remember which casino he went to there but they didnt have every other machine off - instead they were just asking customers to sit two spots away from where someone else is already sitting. They also put a little sticky note on the games after they sanitized it. Also masks not required.

Sounds like a bad idea to me, but good luck to them. I wouldn't like someone running around scolding people, just turn off some machines.
At least there's a place for all the mask haters...

I’m a mask hater, but I understand why they are necessary. I will return to casinos once they feel it’s safe enough to not have a mask requirement.

Raja from big jackpot has been in Deadwood past 2 nights. Crowds there didn't look very big.

He mentioned a couple things they are doing - disinfecting the machines after anyone plays, and they place a little placard on the machine indicating the machine has been cleaned and safe to play.

    - Requiring guests to social distance UNLESS, they are part of the same group (ie friends/family). Not sure how it's enforced

    - Masks were not required of guests

Couer d'Alene casino had a soft opening several days before the publicized May 1 opening. It was not very crowded then. You are at least 6 feet away from the next person. Masks and temperature at the door are required. You can remove your mask to take a drink from your drink, or smoke. The main restaurants there are open. The machines are tight as hell, but thats normal for them.
Opening day had a 4-5 hour wait to get in, according to a friend who tried to go last Friday.
Northern Quest in Spokane opened Tuesday. They do NOT require a mask, are not taking temperatures, and do not appear to be limiting crowds. A quick look around found them very crowded, with only about 5% or so wearing masks. Their bar Liquid had ALL the bartop slots on, with people sitting about 1 foot or less from each other.
    NO thanks
