He can go catch passes from Kaepernick now.
God I hope he doesn't make it to ,Cleveland.
With Mayfield, OBJ and Hunt, he might fit right in
He could sign with Denver and play against the Raiders on Monday!!! Any other signing would delay his potential play until next week.
Or, just spitballin' here, he could place a call to the league offices and file his retirement papers. That's an option. I'm sure the receptionist has a box with which he could remove his personal effects. Or, as I understand it, both the AAF & XFL are always in the hunt for marketing opportunities.
I read that he is immediately allowed to sing with any team, but cannot play week one.
Anywho, now we get a couple fun days speculating where he will end up, assuming he doesn't just retire
Well, maybe not the AAF lol
It was a simple twist of fate. As Bob would describe it.
My head hurts.....buttttttt will recover in time for chapter II. And why not Jerry? He’s no smarter than Davis (geeeze would I have enjoyed seeing Al deal with these type issues)
Now do the raiders rally after the soap has been cancelled or is it too late? This is actually happening while there are so many important things going (or not going)on
I wonder how much the Raiders line moved since this morning
This is my favorite NFL storyline in years. It was like an entire season of Mets nonsense in a single weekend.
The lines have been crazy. I haven't even bothered checking futures, but I know that for the major contests, the Westgate Supercontest (which is released on Wednesday afternoon) was a PK, and then Circa (which is released on Thursday morning) wound up at Broncos -2.5. Currently MGM has the Broncos sitting at -2.0.
Correct... unless he signs with Denver before a certain time tomorrow, then he could play Monday.
On the “retirement”... should he file now OR wait till the end of the fiscal-year? HA! Sorry... bad joke from another thread.
Brandon Marshall, who the Raiders cut last week, tweeted that AB really wasn’t much of a distraction last month as was depicted on Hard Knocks, cause he wasn’t around. Of course, he wouldn’t know about this week’s hi-jinx. Hard to imagine the affect of all this isn’t a negative for the Raiders though... every minute on AB is a minute not spent on the Broncos!
I agree. I don't think the "distraction" storyline is why the line moved to favor the Broncos. AB is a great between the lines. If the Raiders lose a close one, the absence of his talent will likely be the reason, not the distraction leading up to the game
Well, that, and Jon Gruden being a pretty sub-par coach; I also think they've lost a lot of the traditional home field advantage due to them having one foot out the door in Oakland. In addition, I agree that the "distraction" element is a bit of a red herring, but it certainly doesn't help. I wouldn't make a huge jump on the lines solely on that basis, but there's just so much nonsense surrounding the team that it's a perfect storm of drama.
Adam Sheffter reports Brown has agreed to terms with the New England Patriots!
I'm no Tomlin fan and barely root for my Steelers anymore because they have become so unlikable (I have some great, 100% true stories about Ben, he's not a good dude), but the way the Raiders handles this have to make the Steelers look like geniuses for getting 9 years out of him.
Maybe, just maybe, the environment in Pittsburgh wasn't as toxic as the media led the world to believe.
I mean, it was just so predictable.
Just placed a SB bet on the pats before the line gets jacked up again
Did I say days? I meant hours
Its interesting because its so low risk for the Pats. They are already deep at receiver. This reminds me of when they signed Chad Eight Five. He didn't do much for them and they ultimately didn't really need him. What piques my interest is if they have him return punts. AB is definitely an upgrade for them on special teams
