Spoiled brat? No, he is a punk ass thug. Who would be in jail or dead if not for the NFL. He is a grown man playing a child's who does not appreciate how lucky he is. Very few of us ever get the chance to do what he should be doing and make the kind of money he is making. Why do owners put up with this bullshit? No matter how much talent this jackss, clown has, he is not worth the disruption to the team he is causing. There must be some way the team owner can cancel his contract because of him not doing his job. Pittsburgh got rid of him for a reason. It should be obvious why. He is not worth this.

Now, if he doesn't have a season that justifies the money, guess who's fault it is????

He does it and all the others do it because the game -- and many others -- has a headlock on the sensibilities of the millions and millions and millions of people known as fans. It's that simple. The irritation it causes some can't come close to overriding the rabidly blind adherence of the many. The sponsors know this so therefore the owners know this so therefore the league knows this. And players can get away with anything short of murder, and that even seems not to be verboten.

A possible suspension for arguing and threatening the GM, it looks like he can't even hold it together enough to make Week 1.

My struggle to resist schadenfreude is real and I just can't look away from the train wreck that is Antonio Brown. I should be ashamed.

I read the reports of him being suspended for arguing with Maycock. Where are the reports that he threatened him??? I hadn't seen that anywhere

I don't think he's been suspended yet. I heard that if he's not on the roster as of 4 p.m. Saturday, he loses the guaranteed money in his contract and becomes a free-agent. I'm sure the Raiders are feverishly exploring trade options (unlikely), as we chat, to try and salvage something out of this.

If they do cut him, you can be sure his agent Drew Rosenhaus has a competing take on the status of the money due. I read Brown and GM Mayock had to be physically separated in front of the team. I didn't hear who initiated the confrontation, but in my mind, it doesn't matter... it's just another in a long line of bullshit antics from this guy.

If he does end-up a free-agent, I'd expect a couple teams to try and land him due to the talent, but not at the money the Raiders offered and I'd expect the contract to be heavily, heavily incentive-laden.

I read a lot of the same stuff. That's why I was curious if there was an actual threat involved. Its one thing for the two of them to scream at each other in front of the team. But its hard to move back from a player threatening a GM.

Also, FWIW, it appears the gambling market is saying Brown is worth three points a game. The line has been sitting at Oakland -1 for weeks, but has quickly moved to Denver -2

OK, just saw a report that he threatened to punch Maycock in the face. Doubt he was serious, but still. I could see anything happening at this point

Because there are enough of them that want to win at any cost, ANY cost. The minute his contract is terminated Jerry Jones will be tripping over himself to get AB on a plane to Dallas. If that doesn't pan out then Steeler fans worst nightmare will come true, he ends up in New England.

AB should not be rewarded for his behavior, but he will be, richly.

IMO, the guy just doesn't want to have anyone tell him what to do. It all goes back to the "am I really free" comment, I thought that was very telling. He looks at having any authority over him as weakness. If anyone is telling him what he can and can't do then he's failed himself.

Until he's on the brink of financial ruin what you see is what you get.

This Steeler fan does not see Brown in New England as my worst nightmare. The Patriots know how to beat us already. Injecting the locker room disruption that Brown causes would only benefit us. Brown will only ever play by his own crazy sauce rules and it doesn't matter where he ends up he will never again be a team player.
