    My Trip Report

Well, I’m at Hobby Airport ready to embark on another trip. I was supposed to fly out on the 11th. However, there being a Tropical system in the Gulf and predictions of a close impact to Houston, on Saturday I booked a rather expensive ticket on SWA to fly out today. I have an 80 mile drive to the airport, which is no fun at all in the torrential rains that were forecast. They now think that it will probably be well East of Houston, but things can change again of course.

Driving to the Airport, I got a ding that SWA was allowing free changes for Tuesday and Wednesday due to the weather. So when I got to the airport, I canceled my expensive flight for today, and changed my cheap flight ( which I hadn’t cancelled yet) to the same flight I was going to take today. That is definitely my first win of the trip!

Oh my goodness. Is it already the casino cruise casino trip?! Yay! And congrats on being able to change the flight for free and getting here early to make it on time:)

So the plan is 5 nights at PH, then flying to Vancouver where I’m staying at the Fairmont located right at the airport. I sprung for the Gold floor, so I will check and see what’s that all about. Then it’s a 14 night cruise to Alaska which includes stops at Anchorage and Kodiak Island. Then fly back to Vegas for a three night stay at Circa and then back to Houston. Being a guy, I’m doing all 23 nights with only carryon luggage. I get free laundry on the cruise, so I will definitely take advantage of that. Hopefully, it will be a good time. I hope you enjoy following along.

I’m rating this “wow” for the carryon only. Wow!

Looking forward to following this one. I hope you at least brought a raincoat for the cruise.

I think you’ll like the Fairmont, esp the Gold floor. As @Jsmile898 says, River Rock is 3 stops away on the Canada Line (directly from YVR). It also goes directly to the cruise ship area … easy with just carry on.

I am jealous about the Alaska cruise! I took one earlier this year and loved it so much.

I was down a few hundred last night, but this hand brought me back to black for the day. I ended up with a little over 1000 TC. IMG_2643.jpeg

I haven’t played much today, only a couple of hundred TC, but I still managed to give back all of yesterday’s profits. No one big hit, but $20 here and $40 there starts to add up.
