Well this has been an adventure! Got knocked out of the tournament just before the break. AK vs QJ and he hit a straight on the River to beat my top pair. Then I realized I was hungry! Walked past cafe americano at Caesar’s Intending to go to the one at Paris. Sure enough it’s closed! Or at least the kitchen is. I use the opportunity to go upstairs, say my prayers, and take some week chocolate. I verified grand Lux at Venetian was 24 hrs and so took a cab there. Sure enough that was closed too! I briefly considered going to Dennys north of casino Royale but wanted more beer so went to the Venetian cab line. Got the same Eastern European guy in a Prius I got going to Venetian! Anyway now I’m sitting at cafe americano at Caesar’s enjoying a draft Heineken with a breakfast bowl on the way. Stoned, drunk, satisfied, and happy!

Well it’s been somewhat of a blur since I last updated. Was sitting at Cafe Americano minding my own business and sure enough ended up getting laid in Vegas for the first time in years. I ended up drunk as a skunk. My room is in bad, bad shape. I left $25 on the bed, took the do not disturb sign off the door, and am hoping for the best by the time I return. Now I’m downstairs at cafe americano at Paris having a late breakfast. Parents went to Resorts World so might join them there in a bit, but first need to get hydrated and fed. Moving a bit slowly but I feel like a conquering hero. I thought I might have dreamt it but have the photos to prove it.

Been moving around a little bit! After brunch I went north and played mostly at Harrah’s where I lost a good amount. Then worked my way back down to Paris and managed to do the same! Down about $450 on the day so far. I figured I’ll take a walk and find a nice chill spot to grab a bite and kill what remains of my hangover. I went over to Cosmo and walked around a while but everything was jam packed and wasn’t agreeing with me. Nice walk though, I’ll be at Cosmo more and more now that they’ll be MLife. Then went over to Bellagio and couldn’t find anything other than Noodles that met my description and wasn’t feeling that. Spago was closed. Then went to Caesar’s with amalfi in mind and that was closed too! Guess it’s tough to get a bite at 3. I walked into Hells Kitchen and couldn’t get a spot at the bar. So then decided that even though I’ll be at Mon Ami Gabi later, a steak au poivre would do me wonders right this minute. So here I am at the bar. They haven’t had Kronenbourg for a while they say so I’m enjoying the Mon Ami Gabi Pinot noir and lots of water with a steak on the way.

I confess I’m nervous to return to my room. I am embarrassed at the state I left it in. I tried to fix it up as best I can but there was only so much I could do. I wouldn’t be shocked if I went back up and my belongings were stuffed in a garbage bag and left outside the door. I just hope it’s been cleaned. They knocked on the door when I was still asleep and I shooed them away. I feel terrible making another person clean that mess, and would feel worse if they had to do it on Thanksgiving. I will leave an even bigger tip if that’s the case. But I’d love it to be clean now…

Typically I don’t need maid service in Vegas. I am up all night but I treat my room like a monk. Just ask for some extra towels and I’m all good. I had never before last night had a one night stand in Vegas. And I wasn’t even seeking it out, no app or anything. I was seeking a late night snack and stumbled upon casual sex. This is what these past few months have been like for me. I don’t know what it is. Not sure if it’s just confidence with doing well at work. What I think it might be is I’ve started to go a little salt and pepper. I look baby faced enough to get carded at every table but I think the specks of grey really look good on me. Whatever the reason, I’ll take it.

While typing this my food came and I killed it. Will do it all again in two hours. Two steaks in three hours…that’s more like it!

Just had a great (second) dinner at Mon Ami. Table right in center of balcony, could not possibly have been nicer. Another glass of Pinot for me. Parents drank a ton at resorts world today - dad met a fellow Louisville alum and they were chumming it up. They were going to go to NYNY piano bar but instead are staying here and going to call it a night. I on the other hand and going to stay up as long as my bankroll allows. Right before dinner, I had a $150 hit on a quick hits machine right outside the restaurant. I gave myself a slight boost from mondays stake. So I have about $460 for tonight. I haven’t been to south strip yet so I am going to play the 10 pm poker tournament at MGM! I know I’ll enjoy the walk over there on this side of the strip. Going to loiter around Paris and PH for a little but then head south!

Enjoyed a nice walk down to MGM and found out tournament entry wasn’t open till 9:30 or so. I needed to run back to Paris to take care of something so I took a cab there and now I’m taking the monorail back down. Probably saved me some money too! Going to go buy in and then maybe hit up a free bet BJ table at MGM.

Well that was interesting! Had no cards all night then got AQ spades in the BB. A guy across from me with many outwardly visible qualities that most people would not admire (I’ll keep it at that) had already been eliminated and bought back in and was just crazy raising all day. He raised me crazy and I went all in and he called risking nearly his whole stack. 10/9 of clubs. I’d take that chance all day. Of course he hits 2 pair. He reaches his hand out and I have always left a poker table with grace after being knocked out, but I couldn’t help but look at his fat ugly loudmouth face and say Fuck You. Immediately everyone else at the table burst out laughing, they all wanted to say it. Left the table then on a high note and now I’m headed back to the monorail to head back up to Paris! Time for some slots!

I love Cafe Americano at Paris! Serious contender for best 24 hour spot on the strip.

Caesar’s is jam packed but found the perfect spot at Giada wine bar near the back. Have a personal TV for the game basically. Enjoying a red wine (whatever bartender recommended) with a salami platter on the way to hold me over till Thanksgiving dinner at Joes later. If the Egg Bowl is on here after the cowboys game, I may be here for a while…

Everyone else is too classy to ask? Ok. I will. Where are the pictures of the room and the woman who made you treat it so disrespectfully. :D

Laying in bed at 11:15 after a wonderful Thanksgiving in Vegas. Very tired and content so will do a full update at breakfast tomorrow. Good night!

Seems we are lacking some details here...how did this happen? Asking for a friend of course.

And I can't be the only one who noticed you set your pre-trip alarm for 4:20...

Sitting here at Cafe Americano. I confess I was disappointed when I learned the Paris buffet was closed but this place has been an amazing substitute, what an awesome spot to start the day!

I got a great nights sleep. When I get into town early in the day I tend to have a more normal schedule as opposed to nocturnal and I’m okay with that. Last night my parents and I had a very nice Thanksgiving dinner at Joes. I had a filet and they each had surf and turf. The company was even better than the food of course! After that we went back to Paris and I changed into lighter clothes and just hung around Paris for a bit before bed. Got a gigantic pack of Sour Skittles on the way back up to the room and killed it all, don’t know how I slept so well with all that sugar!

Finishing up breakfast now. I have a parlay going now, K State and Iowa to win outright. Probably going to migrate over to the Caesar’s sports book at a certain point and watch some of the games there. And very likely going to play another poker tournament at Caesar’s this afternoon, their TV setup makes it a great place to watch games. Tomorrow is the big football day though with reserved sports book seats.

It’s a beautiful day in Vegas just getting started!

I want to note that the drink service this trip pretty much everywhere I’ve played has been uniformly EXCELLENT.

Been running pretty good so far! Was real hot the first three levels. Nut flush, trip Qs, full house w 88. Then cooled down a bit but still doing well. First time I’ve made it to the break this trip! Here outside the poker room taking a couple puffs before I go back to the table.
