We are planning a trip to Vegas in August. For the last 10+ years, we have stayed at MB/Delano. We always liked the vibe of the hotels, casino and the spa. However, the last couple of trips have not been as enjoyable and in part we might be getting a little bored. It didn't help that someone broke into our suite at the Delano on our last trip and it wasn't handled well. Fortunately, nothing of value was stolen. Just left a bad taste in our mouth.

So we have decided to mix it up for our August trip. We are going to stay at the Wynn for at least 3 days (of a five day trip). We were debating on staying at the Bellagio for 2 days. That use to be our home base until our host moved over to Aria. We thought it would be fun to stay there again. With this in mind, I went to the Mlife website to see what offers were available. I always have offers for free nights at all the Mlife properties. Of course, when I got on the website, I couldn't find anything posted. I called the 1-800 number for the Bellagio and I explained their must have been a glitch with the website or new offers had not been posted. Regardless, based on my play and history with MGM, it should not be an issue to get two nights comped. To my surprise and amusement, the customer service rep tells me that they only can provide me the platinum discount. She did note that I had two nights available at Excalibur. I laughed and said I'm a victim of MGM 2020. The CSR had to stiffle her laugh.

While I could have reached out to my host at MB or escalated and got the comped rooms, I just went ahead and booked the Wynn for 5 nights. It was easier.

    Piss on them.

And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

I feel like I may too be a victim of MGM 2020. I've gone from 4 nights comped at all properties with an amount of FP and RC to absolutely zero offers. I am.planning a trip in December so dont need the offers until next month but I suspect I wont be getting any more and will be told similar to yourself when I ask. More fool them I'll take my comp nights at PH and they can have all my play

Hmm, i have had the same play i have had for years and still get pretty much the exact same offers i used to or even slightly better. Maybe you don't play as much as you used to.

Now that i think about it it always used to be three nights in a suite. Now its 4. MGM 2020 seems alright to me.

I've had the same offer for years and years. This time my offers changed. I always had 4 nights at any property. Now it is 3 at Bellagio or Aria and 4 at the rest. However, my FP and RC doubled and they show I pay resort fees at Aria and Bellagio but not at any other property. There are other threads about many getting a new set of offers this go around. I never understood the offers anyway so the change just seems normal.

I would wait to see if something shows up. The offers were just being published and if you don't have a host at Bellagio I'm sure they see just what you do. Sometimes I get mine the same time as others and sometimes mine come in weeks later.

A stay at the Wynn sounds good no matter how it ends up! Best of luck.

    Oops, I'm doing it again.

Wynn is always excellent on the experience. Did you get a comped stay there for 5 nights?

Yeah you might simply be a victim of a slow rollout of May's offer cycle. From reading accounts from other people over the past year, usually if nothing is showing online, a VIP or other rep won't see anything either.

And of course a host would have hooked you up. But I hear you about taking the path of least resistance.

I agree with these guys, give it some time and the offers may come in.

The conspiracy theorist would say that your complaints about the situation at Delano put you on a blacklist! :poke:

I posted this because I thought it was funny because her reaction when I cracked joke about MGM 2020 and her response about availability at Excalibur. I'm sure there is some sort of snafu but it is surprising that a quick check of my play would have warranted a more serious examination instead of her throwing out the Excalibur option. This silliness just reinforced the need to try other places.

I have three nights comped at the Encore and the other 2 nights are at greatly reduced rates. I think all total it will be about $250 if we do not get anything comped on the back end.

I'm by no means a big player. I availed of 4 nights at mirage last August. (Trip report here: https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/index.php?threads/5-go-to-vegas-23-8-31-8-semi-live-6-nights-mirage-2-nights-cosmo.154270/)
When I got home my next offer included 4 nights at mirage. My last offer (before the May refresh) had 2 nights at Mirage, as well as Ny Ny. I was offered 4 nights in Luxor and Excalibur, This was for stays until 15th October.
My new offer this month let's me book until May 2020 now, and whilst I still have Luxor, Excalibur etc I no longer have mirage offers.

I'll happily stay in the Luxor. It's getting a good price on flights from Ireland that is now my problem!

MGM 2020 is far more than just cutting offers to players. They tighten the machines (yes, the machines can still be tightened,
as they are still above the NV state's legal limit). They layoff the employees, cut the services.

The victims of MGM 2020 are also the ones who will be receiving some type of settlement of at least 800mil for the MB shooting. I know insurance will cover a large chunk of that, but it does have a cap of what the policy will pay and if the victims score a verdict greater than the cap I got to think MGM is already laying things and groundwork to offset what they have already done, the expense to fight and litigate, and what they will need to pay out to make it go away. There is obviously some debate on if the hotel is responsible or not ane don't want to steer the topic of post in that direction, but just want to point it out as a contributing factor to the streamlining of service and cutting costs imo.

I’m a very low roller. So I’m not used big offers, but usually get something. I got 4 nights at Park MGM last year and earlier this year, but we are planning for mid October so had to wait until this last round. My most recent offers came this week in my email. This offer was 3 nights instead of 4, but FP and RC were the same. The 4th night was only $40 so I am ok with this. Considering my low level of play, I’ll take what I can get for as long as I can get it.

I think you're more a victim of your choice to call Bellagio over your host at MB.

But I also think you were looking for an "excuse" to book Wynn all 5 nights and skip MB.
