I just realized that the big fight is on the day I arrive in Vegas @ T-mobile arena. Anyone going to the fight? I've always wanted to go to a big fight in Vegas. I doubt I can afford tix to the actual fight, but I'm thinking closed circuit or somewhere PPV could be cool. Anybody know of a good place to go for this and post fight stuff?

You can usually get nosebleed section for pretty reasonable. It's not worth it IMO. It's usually silent as they are fighting and you can't see it anyway except for on the big screen, so it's better to watch it somewhere else at a bar or something. There are places that show it for an admission. Unless it's a fixed fight, Chavez is a chump and is not in the same league as Alvarez, so no contest there. Lagasse's statium comes to mind but there are others. It also will not be cheap if you count admission and drinks you may spend at least $50 per person plus drinks.

I try to go to Vegas when big fights happen and this one is no exception. I purchased tickets when released but I know a guy who sells tickets the day of. I have purchased from him before and there is no shady business. I have sat nose bleed and also ringside and have always had a blast. As far as being silent it just depends on the action. This fight should be loud from beginning to end especially because it's two Mexican fighters on cinco de mayo so the crowd will be hyped up. Send me a message and I will give you his info. He gets you a good deal as the fight draws closer.

Stubhub is your best friend. Just search Alvarez Chavez and you will find events for the main fight and even PPV... Right now fight tickets are at a minimum $500/ticket which is not worth it IMHO... And like @gguerra mentioned, if the fight is not fixed then Alvarez should dominate since Chavez doesn't even deserve this title shot... I will also be there that weekend and don't plan on watching it live... The atmosphere around the Caesars and MGM casinos will be good enough to enjoy... If prices drop right before the fight(1 hour before) to around $250 nose bleed then I might buy... But I will def wait till last minute on stubhub. Good luck and have a blast...

Not a title fight. It's more a money grab fight. Perfect element to make money...biggest Mexican boxer currently vs arguably the next Mexican boxers son, cinco de mayo. Regardless how much you spend, hope you enjoy.

My wife and I will be in Vegas for fight weekend too. We will be buying tickets Friday or Saturday since they tend to drop in price last minute as people start to dump them. Right now prices are around $350 for nose bleeds. Let me know if anyone wants to meet up.

I'd definitely be interested in meeting up if the tix drop to under $200.

How much are you looking to get for the 4 closed circuit tickets? We are planning to go to the fight but we also have other people joining us in Vegas that might want to pick up the tickets from you.

I'd sell them for face value....which I think was 392 after all the fees....but I'll tack on a convenience fee of $8 Just to make it easy...lol

Well tix are now over $400 each to go, so I won't be able to attend the fight, but I'm still hoping to watch it somewhere. Closed circuit is over $100 so that isn't likely either. I need to find somewhere fun that is showing it.

On a related note, where will the post-fight party be?

They still have tickets available for closed circuit at MGM, Mirage and Diablos cantina at Monte Carlo. Tickets are $75 plus fees. I'm probably going to wait till Saturday afternoon to see how much tickets drop. If i can get them for about $325 a piece I will go, if not closed circuit it is lol.

@acason5 are you still selling your closed circuit tickets? If so, what's the price on them? I'm staying at Paris and can meet up with you on the strip.

Went to a sports local bars for this fight, luckily no cover charge and found a seat just after the co main event. Glad I didn't pay a cover.
