Who says there's no good gaming at the Hard Rock? A woman from Alaska put $20 into a Wheel of Fortune machine at the Hard Rock last night and turned into a $1 million jackpot!

Slots may return 98.3% in "indefinite long run". Also, it could return to someone else instead of you. Right? :wink2:

yeah, well WOF doesn't return 98% to anybody. i swear they have those things cranked down as low as legal - 70% - and maybe lower in some places.

Depends on where you play, what game what the payouts are for the big jackpots, what denomination and on and on.

Las Vegas has the most competitive market, and the out lying areas like North Vegas, The Boulder Highway and Downtown are generally better than the Strip.

See the American Casino Guide web site for a list of average slot payouts by geographic area.

Dollars generally payback a bit more than quarters, then nickles and the worst is penny slots. They stink anywhere but the Lemmings line up to play them.

But I'll agree, I'm sure the casinos have tightened the belt on slots, to increase their net profits. Tourism is down and less people are gambling because they have less money. The bean counters need to increase the house take, so you take it where the sun don't shine.

Even if WOF paid at 90%, it would still take a ton of money played between hits. After all, nobody pays out a few million bucks without still making a profit. And when you add in all the smaller payouts, it could easily be $10m played between payouts.

as my wife tells me "the wheel steals your money" and of course at hard rock "the flying monkeys steal your money" on that wizard of oz one. the only machine i like is the quick hit one near the high limit.
