I always take the bus (CAT) but if that isn't your style or you have a lot of luggage you can always catch a shuttle. Price is about a buck for CAT or about $5 plus tip for shuttle. If there are 4-5 of you then a cab or even a limo is within reason. ;)

No the bus is fine for me as long as they don't mind a bag or two. Only two of us coming on same flight. How often does the bus make the airport run? Thanks!!

I would take the shuttle service, some have bus shuttles others limo's or a cab.

The bus is about every 15 minutes, although that varies slightly depending on time of the day. It runs 24/7/365. Since the airport is the start of the route you have your choice of seating. It terminates at the Downtown Transit Center which is two short blocks from the Nugget. Luggage is okay but you have to manage it yourself-no separate luggage area. To catch the bus go all the way to the end wall of baggage claim and take the elevator down to the bottom floor and out the door. This is the hotel Limo area. Cross to the Walkway and go right a short distance to the bus shelter. Fare is $1.25 or two tokens pp. Tokens cost $.50/ea but you have to buy them prior. Exact change is required though if you get in a bind they will accept more (i.e.; no change you can give them two bucks each). Bus passes are available for $30 and are good for thirty days if you think it's worth the money they are available on line www.rtc.co.clark.nv.us/cat_busfleet.htm where you can also see the schedules. I would definately consider how much luggage you have, how many people in your party, and what time you are arriving. The neighborhood of the downtown area can be pretty sketchy, and if you're arriving at night with luggage, I wouldn't want to make the walk- even if it is only a couple of blocks. A limo can be picked up right outside the terminal, and can be just as cheap as a cab ride- and these take you right to the front door of the Nugget.

Taxi to Dtn- $15-$19 for up to four
    Limo-$38/hour/minimum can take 6 people
    Shuttle-$4.50-$5.00 per person.
Figure MINIMUM 10% tip to taxi, $5 to limo driver and $1 per person to shuttle driver on top of above. [IMG]

i think a shuttle is your best bet as long your not short on time. you can get a round trip pass for 9 or 10 bucks. it might take you 30 minutes to get downtown depending on where everyone else on the shuttle is going, but i think the money you save is worth it. the shuttles will drop you off right at your hotel. a cab will be a lot quicker, but you'll easily spend 2 to 3 times as much one way compared to your roundtrip shuttle fair. the shuttle companys will give you a number and your supposed to call 2 hours before your ready to be picked up, then they'll pick you up where and when you asked. . . .
