Nah, the more you react the more they make a game of it. I think they kinda get off on getting under tourists skin, at least in Vegas. Venice Beach is a whole different ball game though!

Never had a problem with the timeshare when on my own and even on trips with my wife we were aware of them and gave then the brush off, also have had experience of them when on holiday in Canary Islands. As for the CD guys I just walk past them although I also did notice they seemed more hard sell on the bridge between NYNY and MGM, glad to hear they have been dealt with.

I just say sorry, I am leaving today and that seems to work.

I just say no thank you and keep moving on, looking ahead. I really don't know what I would do if he grabbed me. I'm a quiet, peaceful guy but I lose it when I lose my temper.

Were you by yourself or were you with someone? Timeshare people never bother me when I am going solo but they do try to get my attention when I'm with someone. Lots of times I separate from my SO so we aren't bothered.

It's funny because once many years ago I was interested in checking out time shares but the hawkers never gave me the time of day (because I was solo). Many would give me the brush off or tell me that I would have to have an income of 75k+ or some other excuse. Guess I don't look like I have money so they don't bother me even today (when I'm solo).

While my wife and I have not stayed in a CET property for many years, I find it annoying that the majority of their properties have the timeshare salespeople. It creates a negative impression. I know that couple of the Mlife properties have them but we have not been accosted by them the way we have been when walking through the CET properties.

I always think it would be cool to act like the pilot from Airplane when being accosted by peddlers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qse_wf57tZM

Really? I thought that the timeshare people couldn't work on the FSE. Were they working in one of the DT hotels?

I cannot say with 100 percent fact that they were timeshare salesman, because I never gave them the time of day. But I did hear them offering cash dinner and shows to those that will listen to their spiel.

They were not inside the casinos but on Fremont Street underneath the canopy.

When I was walking through Flamingo earlier to check on the High Limit room they were harassing people that were playing slots. Truly sad that this is allowed

When I stayed at Flamingo in 2011 they actually had a time share desk right at the entrance to the elevators so anyone going up or coming out got harassed.

As for the CD people, I had one that starting throwing gang signs and stuff at me, he did not like my green shirt.

It is still there as of last month. I wonder how much money they pay the casinos to set up shop there. One of the perks of staying at nicer properties is no Time Share people.

A friend of mine got followed into a Fremont St store and shouted at after they said they were not interested in the pitch. That is harassment. If I was there I would have called the police.

the first time I got hit by the TS people was at Luxor this was around 2009 right at the heart of the recession... some guy approached asking us what shows we wanted to see, mentioned a great deal (I thought wow, Luxor must be hurting and giving away deals to keep me in the casino) - then he dropped the bomb about attending a 90 minute presentation - I said 'holy s$%t, this is about a timeshare???' and just walked away....

I agree completely and its even worse than that. We stayed at PH once and before arriving I got a welcome-type email and one of the things it said was along with our room we would get a free copy of the Vegas Entertainment Book. It had passes and discounts for the Mandara Spa which my gf was planning on going to anyway so I made a reminder to ask about the book at check-in. They told me to pick it up at this other desk which turned out to be a timeshare pitch. I told them right away I'm not interested and left but I hated that PH was essentially trying to trick their guests into going to a timeshare pitch. It felt cheap and sleazy and I mentioned it to them in my guest survey along with a bunch of other things they should really address.
