I have been noticing that a lot of the bonuses have statements about aggregate bonus payouts. For example at Ballys in AC the aggregate max on Fortune Pai Gow is listed at 40,000. This excludes the envy bets which are resolved separately. The payout for a 7 card natural straight flush is 8,000 to 1. If I bet 10 dollars on the bonus and hit that, is my payout capped at 40k? Could it be less if someone else hits a bonus hand as well?

If my first question is accurate, then isn't it advisable to never bet more than the potential aggregate max?

Yes, the max you could get paid is 40k no matter how much you wager.

And in the rare event two players would get bonus hands, you would also have to proportionally share the 40k.

So if you hit for 40k but he also hit for 5k, then...

    You 40k x 40k/45k = $35556
    Him 40k x 5k/45k = $4444

And yes I would avoid any wager that broke the table max with the top prize.
