Advantage Rental Car

Just booked my Superbowl weekend with Advantage.
They are as good as any middle range car rental.
Look for the best deal and book. I booked through SW airlines.

Just realized I am landing in LV 3 hours before you. Hope I don't take your car. :D

I used it a few times when it was the little sister of Hertz and never had any issues. The one perq was that back then they had free XM in all cars. I have not used it recently.

However, a co-worker said he once saw the Advantage line WAAAAaaaaayyyy out into the middle of the lobby!

I never had a problem with Advantage. I've used them quite a few times.

I have no problems with them. In fact I like them because I usually reserve an economy car and they usually upgrade me to a larger car. That hardly happens with the other smaller agencies like EZ and Payless. Yes, sometimes the line can be a little long but basically that is probably when a number of flights come in at the same time. Much of the time they are no more longer than the rest of the rental agencies.

I do note that sometimes they will try to pull a fast one and add on a "daily lockout" charge so if your bill doesn't come out exactly to your reservation then check the bill and you will probably find some bogus charge added. No problem, just ask them to remove the charge and they will do so. But then for all rental agencies I always check my bill and my reservation because I find this with other agencies as well.

What's a "daily lockout" charge? I've never seen that (of course, I haven't used Advantage....)

I assume it's a daily charge to unlock the car in the event you lock the keys inside. It's something that all rental agencies used to do for no charge if it happened.

I used em once... car smelled like weed, but I got an upgrade to an Infinity with 22k miles on it, more than normal rentals.

No problems at all, the do actually charge the deposit, not an authorization. I got it back no problems. When I arrived I was the only one at the counter.

I'd easily rent with em again.

Only one problem in 2 or 3 rentals, our first stop was Ellis Island and we parked out front. After breakfast and some play we left, the car stunk of puke and chemicals. Headed right back and they gave us a almost new Camry. Not end of the world and they were quick to swap cars and upgrade.
