We adopting a new pet today. Five dogs were confiscated a month ago that had been living together in a outdoor pen. This dog was okayed for adoption over the weekend.

    The facts:
    10 is his estimated age.
Intake @ 43.7lbs and 59lbs now, Faulty scale?
Back end was severely matted, feathers on back legs caked in feces.
    Some teeth will need extracting.
Friendly with other dogs. Our Blue Heeler is laid back with him and the Border Collie is okay so far.
    He seems playful & friendly.
    No name yet.

He’s project dog. Probably not housebroken, so lots of trips outside. It’s only been five hours, but all is well so far. Wish me luck.

Good on ya! So many pups out there need rescuing. Our cooper the wonder beagle is a rescue and we've always been a big supporter of local beagle rescues. He looks like a wonderful dog!

Looks like a sweetheart though. The head tilt. You're going to give him some good years.

He is awesome! Looks like he’s trying to figure things out with that tilt of his head. A very lucky dog to have found you!,

What a wonderful story. Although he is advanced in age, it warms my heart to know that the remaining years of his life will be full of love and companionship.

    Enjoy every precious moment.

He's cute. Does he have ear problems, since his head is consistently tilted?

10 isn't that old. My dog is almost 16, though she has plenty of health issues.

Leaning to the classic Collie name Laddie. Like @dmr . I'm showing my age, too

Also in the running are Fella, Skye, and Shep.

I checked those hears. No issues. He does that that when talking to him or when he's trying to figure something out. Very Collie like.

Since he looks like a lion, call him King. So cool that you adopted this adorable doggie.
