Kev said it’s unlikely you’ll find <$25 craps at circa this weekend. Maybe in the morning but that ain’t happening today.

Edit: there were $15 min tables late night Sunday/Monday morning.

Oh yeah, there's no Cognac of any kind or Crown Apple at the bars in circa, or at least so we were told.

(Correction, TIL they do carry Crown Apple, a Megabar bartender just told me they’re always selling out of it, you can see what's left in the lonely bottle under the beer taps)

also, you can get a 2oz pour of 1738 only at Vegas Vicky bar. . For $38
Had a delicious sidecar with it at Barry's, but the booze list (Barry’s), besides cocktails leans all whiskey/whisky.

TIL bartered newport 100s don't fit so good in regular cigarette boxes.

btw I saw Derek S. three times in two days.
Second time, no lie, he cut in front of me to get drinks at Overhang Bar,
Later, P & I realized I should have made a joke, like  "Hey!, who do you think you are? You act like you own the place..."
but he was in some crisis management mode and was drawing up sketches of Stadium Swim after the wind incident..
    Vegas- Feb-CNY-VD 277.jpg
The next morning, I watched the worker ants make it so.

This was also when I learned one of those drink tickets should only get you a well drink, (any beer ok), though he cut me some slack and made me a salty dog w. Sky Vodka.
Derek was having a Corona w. lime.

    third time was at Barry's.
we kind of shared a nod, he's probably like I've seen this guy somewhere.

*trivia (I believe Chapelle did a whole routine structured around the 3 times he met OJ)

memorable moment, after failing probably at least 10 times, finally hit a two way player control hard way parlay,
    dealer yells "Take that, Circa!"
becomes a running joke for about 5 minutes.

I believe at least 3 former MSS Craps dealers (according to Kevin, 2 female) have migrated to Circa, saw but didn't get to say hi to 1 of them. (she was a late shift energetic spitfire, saw her but she was gone after I cashed 3 winning UFC bets at the sportsbook). Caught up w. Kevin, even followed a pit boss tip that he went to drink at 4Q when he got off at 4am.
    Vegas- Feb-CNY-VD 359croP.jpg
He wasn't there... No one was there and it was the first time I saw all the tables closed... Made the most of it and hit VP, then a Circa security guard shows up, and we both chat up the bartender and I learn some inside dirt. Like (IIRC) the naked power cutting lady was shaped "just like him", as he said, "like a car wash brush". I told him he totally ruined the version of the story I had in my head... :kill:

    Vegas- Feb-CNY-VD 371.jpg

made the most of it and did my classic apology breakfast in bed delivery from Magnolias, a little after they opened at 7:30..

Ham and Cheese Omelette, Chicken Fried Steak, CTUG on the side:

it's true, the pulsing bass of Circa Stadium Swim carries right into the corner suite, making the bed feel like a subwoofer in your head playing what sounds like the exact same song for hours.
I imagine it must be just as bad in all the rooms facing that side.
It stops at 11pm, but it's not so great when you're trying to sleep until 6 pm.
you know, the club song with the beat that goes, "boosh boosh boosh boosh"

    Should we be worried?
Drink tickets, technically only good for well liquor,
still can get drinks at the bar while playing..
Realized a day later it may be a brilliant way to make non gambling spouses go away to get soused..
or maybe to cover folks at the 2nd floor VP watching the giant screen if they want to take a few steps back and get a drink at Overhang instead of waiting for a waitress.

1st floor VP facing giant screen maybe not that great a spot to play VP-
twice had non playing people come up right next to me, completely unmasked and oblivious.
there's a lot of constant rubbernecking drop ins in that area.
Didn't want to be that guy that said what I really wanted to, both times just cashed out and left.

P had to do the same at slots once when an oblivious lady drags a seat next to her, while her husband is saying "I think you're supposed to leave a space, that's why there's no chair there."
Same lady shows up again later, at a machine P has moved to.
She does just like I did, cashed out and kept it moving.

Neither of us wanted any negative angry energy fuxin w our flow.

On the second floor right corner, you can get variations, like DSTP triple play at .10, and get to hear the wonder and amazement of people that are seeing the giant ass screen for the first time.
(also prone to getting rubberneckers up next to you)

didn't much like the music (on the moderate to D level of loudness) selection on the floor @ circa, just not my jams,
sort of young crowd high energy dance music top 40 type sounding stuff.
got a little better at some late point...
(maybe ? am, it was noticable, I had to ask the 2nd level craps dealer if there was different music on the levels, no, same, it shifted to songs more my jam and made for a great last [sunday] night)

if anyone from Circa marketing happens to stumble across this, "holla at ya boy!"
(and tell Derek to stop stalking me, :kill:)
(full disclosure: I do not have a deal with circa marketing. I did have a great time.)

*mods feel free to delete that text if it does not come across as the joke that it is..

I will ding the spot where it needs dinging

    • No soaking tubs
    • tp grade low (it is everywhere, we usually bring a roll of the "good stuff", my bad),
    • didn't have soap in the dispenser (yes no bottled toiletries) or kleenex in room- must have been an oversight, maid got us towels and kleenex.,
    • there is a privacy button inside, but it did not prevent maid and turndown service from knocking on the door.
    • only one USB port at desk, none/also no outlets on bedside tables
(also I'd like a little more granularity in the lighting controls, but now that's just being too picky)

    ( to be continued)

had a hard time finding this exact version that hit at just the right moment, on the headphones, on the floor, possibly before the don't bettor smashing. Maybe on the second floor after the craps didn't work out so good...
(dealer had to repeatedly politely explain the only three per side, hanger-oners please back up repeatedly, and explaining betting issues. and mid roll buyins during a extremely hot long roll.. I did not envy his job and told him such)

(no shade, but it was hella better than whatever song was playing at the time)

    another moment in time,
after all the "not quite my jam" music on the floor, DJ Cake drops this song,
and more Dre and an incredible and impeccably mixed jam of old school hip hop, (incl. Biz Markie) right before our steak drops,
(as I discreetly try to watch the UFC Usman main that me & my @homeboy got Usman on at -270)

you have no idea how much I was feeling it when he looks at the camera after and yells,

Service from beginning to end was impeccable.
DJ Cake's set, (while winning my bet) put it over the top for me.
    Heavenly experience.

and gave us clean glasses to take to the room with the leftover wine.
