You can preorder iat Overstock.com . $13.68 I get free shipping because I belong to their rewards cub. I think it is usually around $4 shipping. Amazon sells it too but I don't see it available as preorder yet
Yes, the coupons are good from the date received though there one exception: the 2 for 1 buffet coupons for AZ Charlies locations specify valid Jan 2 - Dec 19, 2017. Amazon is offering the ACGs on a pre order basis for $13.96 with free shipping if you order 2. Estimated
shipping date is 11/30/16. If your trip is early December, I would either order directly from the publisher or purchase the 2016 book which is good until year end.

If I missed anything let me know. I use these every year, and they take me to casinos I've never been to before, and I ALWAYS come out ahead.
Then I use the other coupons too as we go. Note, we usually drive in from Los Angeles so we have a car. However Las Vegas has one of the best public transit systems in my opinion.
The Strip to Downtown Express is awesome. You get your pass at a Kiosk, and flash the bar code as you enter. No waiting for slow pokes to buy their tickets. It drops you off right at Binion's Downtown, and goes back the same way.
