Hey all, long time lurker (and member for about a year), but this is my first post. I searched the threads, but only saw "I liked it" references in other questions regarding Absinthe at CP.

Heading out next week and trying to pick a show. Have seen Ka, Zumanity (x2), Fator, etc., but always look at the Absinthe site and think "man I really should get ticks". Then I realize that I am heavier into the MGM properties and tend to stick with them.

So.....giving Absinthe its own "thread"......if you have seen it, is it worth the ticket price? Would love to hear folks thoughts.

Definitely worth the ticket price. It's about $75 retail (discounted tickets).

    IF AND ONLY IF . . . . . .

    You are not offended by

    1)off-color language
    2)sexual imagery
    3)(relatively) "uncomfortable" seating

I found the show to be fascinating, from the opening act to the finale. . . . .

Love the show, the tent, the atmosphere. Best show in town.

Yeah the seating is pretty bad, but the show is happening all around you in such a small space. You won't get that with many other shows in Vegas.

I'm not even a show guy, and I enjoyed it a bunch. Think of it as a one ring circus, with the raunchiest ringmaster you've ever imagined. My sense of humor is, nothing is off limits - and this was right up my alley. Way better than Love, the only other show I've seen.

They were handing out $20-off coupons right outside the box office, but if I recall correctly, that only brought our price to about $100 per ticket. Not sure where the $75 came from.

Saw it a few years back on a solo trip. Loved it!

But as DaiLun put out there, it's not for the easily offended.

    Have fun and enjoy!

We have seen it 5 times and we have tickets for the end of May to see it again. There are some parts that are the same and some that are different each time we go. The humor of the Gazillionaire is hilarious! There are parts of his act that are similar, but he picks out people to be part of the comedy. We like to try to guess before the show who he is going to pick on. (my husband was the Republican the last time) Don't sit in the front row, or you will more than likely get picked on!

I've seen the show three times; the last time I was called up on stage...had to perform a lap dance on one of the female audience members.....hope that never shows up on You Tube. Very funny show, but lots of off color humor and bad language...lots of "F" bombs. The chairs that you sit on must have come out of a church basement somewhere. NOTE: Do NOT sit in the first two front row seats unless you want to become part of that night's performance and entertainment. Trying to talk my buddy into going to this show in a couple of weeks....will be sitting towards the back this time!

Agree with the above. It is fantastic, hilariously funny. I am heading over next week with a Vegas newbie and will most likely go and see it again - cant give a much higher recommendation than that. Its not too long either, the acts are all great, and the ringmaster and his assistant are superb.

Seen it twice about a year apart, it holds up well. There is a mix of acts in the show which makes it unique

Thanks everyone for your replies! Much appreciated! In fact, I have now booked tickets - and based on the "seat" comments, have booked a table for two in the rear of the theater for more "comfort". Figured the difference in price was probably worth it!

Can't wait to be offended and enjoy Absinthe!!!! Thanks again all!

The tables are nice. It's a small tent so there are no bad seats. But yeah the regular seats do crunch you in. They would be extra uncomfortable if you (or the person next to you) are big.

Well worth the extra money! I've seen it twice, once in the main seating, and the second in the far back with a comfy recliner type chair. Much much better in the back, plus I was only about 5 steps away from the bar.

I've seen a ton of the Vegas shows but the only one I've seen more than once is Absinthe. I've gone 3 times and will go again.

Best show in Vegas, hands down.

All this Absinthe talk has gotten me to feeling a little bad for not having taking my boyfriend to see it yet, although I have seen it. With saying that, I just purchased "table" tickets for our trip in October.

I know there was a lot of talk and plans for the show to move to Cosmo but then I read no it wasn't moving. Does anyone know anything more definitive? If it does close and relocate, I'm guessing Ticketmaster will refund the money??? Also, is there a drink minimum for the tables?

    Thanks guys:beer:

Best show I've seen in my entire life...so worth it. I've brought friends with me last time and they thanked me a million times for bringing them along.

It sounds like perhaps the possible move to Cosmo was a negotiation ploy. Very quickly after it leaked a new deal with Caesars was agreed to.

Yep. Not moving for awhile. There was a clause in the contract that let Caesars renew for another year or so.
