LOL trust me I know TOD all too well from the Corp. Looks like I am still at a loss on this term, still have not figured that one out.
Funny, because when I read or say "4-corners", I always consider it to be "Golden Nugget-4 Queens-Fremont-Binion's"... but I suppose context can take care of any possible misunderstanding. OK... a few more... "FB" = Freebet Blackjack "DTG" = Downtown Grand "Party Pit" = typically a designated pit with blackjack & carny game tables, employing "scantily-clad" female dealers, and bad rules for blackjack. "Chip-fill" = when a table-game is put on hold while they replenish the dealer's chips. "PHOF" = the 'never-actually-visited' Pinball Hall of Fame "Buskers" = the bums & "entertainers" trying to get you to part with your money & give some of it to them, populating the Fremont canopy area, and all of the pedestrian overpasses on the strip.
Im RFL at Mandalay Bay. Room, Food, Lounge. (I have access to Penthouse Lounge) It was posted earlier that it also can be RFL, Room Food Limited.
Hi sonya, thanks so much for your list ,vary helpful...also for your craps posts/lessons....never played craps but I think I will keep it simple and give it a go.....great work...!!!! Ty
OK...the *bump* here made me think of a few more... 3CP = 3-card poker Comp = (short for complimentary) - anything provided to a gambler at no cost by the casino (room, meals, etc). C&E = in craps, a 1-roll bet that either a 2, 3 or 12 will be rolled, or an 11. DAT = in blackjack, double-down with any two cards. Felted = loss of an entire session bankroll Tilt = Psychotically chasing losses with progressively higher bets.
TOD is me. My first name is Tod. Or in New Orleans it means sleepy. As in, and this actually occurred Clerk: We already gave you a key to your room. Me: No, that was my father. I’m Tod. Clerk: You’re taawwd? You want to go to bed? So, yes, context is everything.
In the airline and travel forums TOD stands for "tens of dollars". This is in the context of upgrades to one's originally booked ticket when the offer is for a minimal amount that is likely to be accepted (such as upgrading to first class for $19 or similar). Using it in a sentence: "I checked in for my United flight to LAS and was offered a TOD upgrade to first class. First win of the trip!!" TOD upgrades are often the bane of the snobbish frequent flyers who feel they are entitled to free upgrades to first class; however none are available because the peons back in steerage were offered and accepted TOD upgrades.
