A Very Vegas Christmas Finally the long awaited glorious day has arrived. This will be our first Christmas in Vegas, actually our first Christmas away from home. I have hosted Christmas for at least 30 years but after the shit show that was last Christmas because, well some family, hubby and I decided right after the holidays last year that this year we’d hopefully start a new Vegas Christmas tradition. Our friends M and R will be flying out to join us tomorrow. We’re also celebrating R’s birthday on the 23rd. Pups went off to the spa yesterday morning; missing those fur-balls already. I didn’t take a photo before hubby dropped them off but they still look like this, incredibly cute! I got my hard candy Christmas nails done. Hopefully this will meet with Wonka’s approval and he’ll reward me with multiple hand pays. A few set in stone plans: Meet at Chandelier Bar today at 4:00 pm R’s Birthday dinner at Scarpetta on the 23rd Lunch at Top of the World on the 24th Some fun Christmas Eve festivities Christmas Dinner at Cornerstone on the 25th; they are serving a traditional turkey dinner and other selections. I really wanted a traditional Christmas meal and bonus, I’m not cooking or cleaning up. The rest is winging it. We are currently at the gate at Toronto airport after everything in my carry on getting a thorough secondary examination by TSA. Duh, my bad; there was a decorative wine bottle cork that is a gift in my carry on I hadn’t even thought about how it would appear on the screen and a pair of stilettos that I threw in as my checked bag was bursting. Wintery wear sure takes a lot of room. We’re “enjoying” a $15 cheese tray at the gate. In a bit of a Siberia area of the terminal with no readily available food options. Our Westjet flight departs at 10 am and hubby upgraded us to the “up front” seats. A Very Merry Christmas this is turning out to be, no annoying relatives and no annoying seat mates Comped at Cosmo our Vegas home away from home. Now if could just teleport. Let’s get this show on the road! Starting this on my phone so forgive the errors.
