Sounds like a great trip! Have you been to the pool? Hoping to get some pool time in August - wondering if there are lines to get in and how they're configuring it for social distancing?

Dang, Caesars should hire you to do room photos for their website. Those pics of the Paris room look better than what they have!

We have not encountered any lines for the pool. Yesterday at Paris was crowded with kids. Today is very sparse but its 10 am . We got a great spot under a tree and the temp is perfect. I am sure that wont last long.

Update. We just left Vegas for San Diego. We are renting a car and staying a few nights...including my Birthday tomorrow. Ok, Vegas updates. Since my first day of gambling at Paris with the 7.77 omen my luck went dry. I ended up giving it back plus. It was a blast and have no regrets. Saturday Night we ate at Giordanos sp?? near Ballys. My boyfriend was all excited about this place because he is Italian and he wanted some good Italian food. He got the chicken parm which wasnt thick and not thin but just medium. It was crispy and he said it was very good. I had the extra thin pizza and it was not good at all for an Italian place. I guess their deep dish (and calories) is their specialty. We toured various casinos and I remembered that I wanted to visit Ellis Island and Stage Door. Ellis Island was far in the 104 heat so we ended up at Stage Door. They made us wait in the heat due to occupancy numbers. Finally after 10 mins they checked our temp.and let us in. They had their door open so it was very hot in there. We stayed for two drinks and played tabletop games. Loved the machine they had there...lots of slot choices and video poker and blackjack. I put in a ten and cashed out 50. The drinks were cheap, my boyfriend got the 1.50 Michelobs. Then we went to Flamingo because it was close. Gotta say, I usually stay here but didnt like the vibe in this place at all. Very young crowd and just felt unsafe because of low mask use and lack of social distancing at that hour. Just an observation at that particular time. We ended up going back to our hotel and playing video poker at the bar. Sunday update coming soon.

Giordano's is absolutely known for its deep dish pizza! It's a Chicago staple (Vegas is one of a few other locations). I just moved to Portland after living in Chicago for 8 years, and it wasn't my favorite of the 3 pizza chains (Gino's and Lou Malnatti's) being the other two - in any event all Chicago Deep Dish kind of feels like eating pizza lasagna!

What part of San Diego? Maybe you have free nights at Harrah's SoCal. Also at Harrah's SoCal for only 150 tier credits of play you can get a 1 night Monday-Thursday hotel voucher. Love San Diego just worried it is even more a lite version compared to Vegas. Been hoping more breweries open for tours and more restaurants open.

@Keyma623 Did you have the room called "Terrace Studio"? I have one booked for my upcoming trip. I am wondering if the room had a mini-fridge to use

None of the three major Chicago "staple" chains are any good. They are for tourists not locals.
If you ever go back to Chicago, eat at Pequad's. You are welcome in advance.
