Airplane either going or coming from Mexico City had to make an "emergency" landing. The emergency would be me if a snake came crawling/slithering out like that. I would be screaming and running down the aisles like a Tasmanian devil. After I beat the thing dead--or made my husband do it.

Nope nope nope nope!!!
I would literally be screaming so loud they had to make an emergency landing for just me.

smuggling...could that be? Because I'm pretty sure you can move any animal you want (within reason) via the airlines.
Was it allowed through via a carry-on? Really?

While I realize that that thing may be someone's "pet", I'm killing it. That's me. The law, ever since I was a kid, was snakes get killed. As I got older I differentiated between the old blacksnakes around the barn and cotton-mouths or rattlers (who are killed on sight). But anything that big...not corralled by another person...today is expiration day.

That thing looks beautiful why would they have needed to emergency stop I would have harnassed it safely and kept it till we all landed. Then let the authorities deal w it afterwards.

I don't think that snake would have freaked me out that much. However, if it was a giant spider crawling down the side of the plane I would have shite my pants

I'm with you Edserv. I don't mind snakes, but I hate spiders!!

Ladies and gentlemen, please be careful when opening your overhead bins. Reptiles may have shifted during the flight.
If you checked your wildlife prior to our flight, please retrieve your critter at Baggage Claim 8.
