    My Trip Report

I am super excited to be just 12 hours away from boarding to my annual Vegas week long trip.

It is a long holiday in Brazil - Carnival - and I decided to arrive the very first day after Super Bowl to avoid the massive crowds.

I arrive in Vegas tomorrow 9am and will be once again staying at Bellagio.

No real big plans aside from gambling and eating well. Most dinners are booked or planned already. Probably doing Noodles the first night and than é on Tuesday (my first time there), Prime for Valentine’s day, Spago on Thursday for an early dinner. No plans yet for Friday.

See, I am a heavy planner but the wife doesn’t like to have too many things set in stone and prefers to be more spontaneous. So I try to accommodate both of us by not having everything reserved.

We’ll be going to U2 on Thursday and that and é are the two things I am really looking forward to. I even downloaded the setlist for the concert and have been listening to that nonstop for the last three weeks.

On the gambling side, lots of blackjack and three card poker are the plan. Some VP and slots as well.

Other not set in stone plans include Mon Ami Gabi and Wynn Buffet for breakfast.

I will try to keep this as live as possible. I love all TRs here at VMB, especially the live ones. At the end, I’ll try to do a wrap up with my general observations.

I hope this is a winning trip on all fronts!!

And, although I will be on the plane during most part of the Big Game, Go, Chiefs!

Onboard for the first leg - flying from Sao Paulo to Houston. Should be a 9 hour flight, give or take. I will try to get some sleep to arrive rested in Vegas.

Plans have changed slightly. Instead of having an early dinner at Spago prior to the U2 concert, we’ll have lunch at Peter Luger.

Peter Luger (the Williamsburg location) is my favorite steakhouse. I will report if the Vegas one comes close.

Yesterday was pretty intense for a first day after a 20 hour journey.

Got to Vegas, limo waiting, straight to Bellagio. Got there 10ish AM.

VIP check-in, room was ready - I was pretty impressed by that, thought that because it being a checkout for Super Bowls goers I would have to wait plenty. I’ll take it as a win.

Loaded our freeplay, cycled it through a machine, then it was in and out of our room to shower and hit the road.

Went downtown. First The D, then Circa. Had lunch at the Coney Island place - good hot dogs. Played blackjack at D for 3 hour or so and broke even. Played 3-card at Circa and got killed. Wife had a winning session at roulette.

We then went to Barry’s. I had some food credit, we had a fantastic dinner - win-win.

Back to Bellagio, I went to the blackjack tables and the wife to roulette. I recouped the losses and she more than tripled her money.

We called it a day by 10pm. We were both exhausted. Great day.

Highlight of the day - Last trip was the first one I ventured Downtown. This time we tried it again. I was very impressed with the D. Cozy, clean, everything seems new and extremely friendly dealers. We will probably be there again on Friday.

Today we woke up early. Time difference is huge. Had breakfast at Bellagio buffet - 2-1 My Vegas comp. Then hit Park, NYNY and MGM Grand. First time at MGM after a long time. I limed the vibe on a Tuesday morning.

Gambling wise, NYNY went bad, but MGM Grand went very well. Then got back to Bellagio and also grabbed a win at the tables.

Resting a bit for the é reservation later. Will probably play a little bit at Bellagio before going to Cosmo.

Loving your TR! Perhaps check-out HL BJ at Cosmo before e? I would definitely do a pre-dinner glass of bubbly in there, always a good start…
