If they did, and you were playing $5/spin, you would get one about every 2 minutes, lol.

Positive glitch from all the info I read. The Cosmo system was designed to be coin-in AND time limited, but I've also read a story that a player got 5 tickets at once. And others get nothing forever. But "normally", it's every 15 minutes (based on @TriggerMN's data). The glitches in this particular system is ridiculous.

It pretty much proves the current CET light system is better for players, especially if you like to drink quickly. Stan told me once, their rule was a drink every 5+ minutes if you were green. Lol

I do recall that. They were coming out faster than any reasonable drunk could drink them. That further exacerbates my frustration with the inconsistency that seems to exist among the machines and bartenders at Cosmo. It soured me a bit.

The thought came to me that pre-lockdown, you could have your SO next to you (as you learned, now you can't.), and I remember trading off "shifts" when you got bored, or had a bad run..
Probably totally prevented the time out in those cases.. also IIRC there used to be the 40 minute "pity ticket" that I timed out a few times while playing slow.. not any more..

I'm thinking the move is pound the machine for a ticket or two, get your drink, then move on and try your luck with waitresses.

Or tell the Cosmo to get bent and don't play at their lousy bar tops?

    Final thoughts for me:

    - I am a hard core drinker and gambler but it was getting old after three nights never mind four.
    - I have flights bought and paid for and a suite locked up at PH for Super Bowl but I am 90% unlikely to go but do not tell Big Sack. When there is no pool, shows, entertainment....Vegas is missing something.
    - I have had three trips since June and I think I need things to loosen up a bit more.
    - Arizona was actually more fun than Vegas. Am I allowed to say that on a Vegas Message Board? I wish we had stayed there an extra day.
    - Circa sportsbook was amazing and pictures do not do it justice. I can only imagine how that pool party is going to be in the Summer. Worth it, I suspect.
    - Coming home through the Calgary airport we had our rapid Covid test and I had my result back in 29 hours and 45 minutes...negative. JR had hers about 10 hours later. We have our second test tomorrow at a Shopper's Drug Mart.
    - I had more fun downtown than I did on the Strip and I wish I had time to gamble at the Orleans after we went to the movie. I must be getting old.
    - Eff the drink service due to the new Beverage Manager KC at Paris/Bally's and Eff Chandalier Bar's inconsistent drink tickets.
    - Uber and Lyft were really hard to get during the day, even on the weekend. I am not a fan of the locked in cab rates as they have raised the price of the trips I used to tak by about $10. Cab to airport from PHO...$23. That is a $13-15 ride on any morning. Trip to Flamingo from airport if memory serves..$35? I have had more than one cabby do it on a Friday night for $25 easy.
    - Circa was a blast. It was busy and fun. Demographic was a bit younger than most places downtown. Not a knock, just an observation.

So the absolute only way I am going for Super Bowl is if a miracle happens and I get a party offer, or I look up Circa for a couple seats for Big Sack and I to plant ourselves. I am going to look up SB tickets tonight but I suspect those are gonna be pricey. I could park myself DT on SB Sunday all day and night no problem.

I will do a little photo dump and we will call it a TR everyone.

I almost forgot about this little guy. We were given these at check in on Dec 30. Great for cleaning your phone! We wash our hands and spray the machines to avoid germs but are enough if you cleaning your phones?? Most phones are filthy!!! I clean mine almost every day at home, and 1-2 times a day in Vegas!

Thanks for the report. Better luck next time.

I agree; no pool, no entertainment... It's not Vegas.

    Better times ahead

What is the purpose of those weird things around the bed in the PHo suite? I remember getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and I could figure out how to get out of bed! I’m sure the multiple cocktails I’d consumed that night didn’t contribute to my confusion......

Gaggles, I have read every trip report by you and have enjoyed each and every one.
My group is going Monday to Vegas and detouring to mesquite for 3 days of golf.
We will then be downtown from Thursday to mlk day.
We have been downtown people the last 20 years but we are older than you are.
We are just going because of the gambling .
    We are not show people.
I am staying at the d and excited to watch football at circa.
All we want to do is gamble, drink and watch football. So if we can accomplish that it will be a different but successful trip

liked your honest assessment of Vegas in need to loosen up a bit more...couldn’t agree more!
Gambling and eating can get a little old after a few days...groundhog the movie?
Once things return back to almost normal and everything opens up...Vegas is 1st on my list.

To make it worthwhile from UK, I usually come for 2 weeks, sometimes a little longer. Nowadays my liver objects about 4 days in.

I'm sure this is spot on and makes all the difference. I'm not a daily pool user, but it does give some welcome respite, if not fully from drinking, at least from gambling for a couple of hours. A little balance is a very good thing, even when on a mad one.

You didn't look like you were having that much fun in the AZ photos :D For me, golf is a very welcome way to get off strip for a while, I suppose an extension of using the pool.

Definitely looks fun, but for me their rack rate is going to have to tumble A LOT before I spring for a room there. Current prices are just way OOT. With some decent gamble and some solid return offers though, I could definitely see a stay here in my future.

I agree with your comment during covid times that any policy that sweeps out the freeloaders is fine by me. But beyond covid, I want to drink and gamble at my own pace and be well looked after - if you don't want to look after me, or think serving me between gnashed teeth is going to get you far, GL with that. I'm interested to see how attitudes have changed on my next trip; particularly amongst gaming staff, but also present in other serving roles, where there was a noticeable way OOT sense of entitlement and just aloofness and rudeness from the get-go.

Nice TR, I'll look forward to your next one over SB ;)

I know you are recently married, but I think going to Vegas with a good friend who you could even watch indulge in more the Hookers & Blow aspect, along with extended pool time, might go a long ways towards providing the variety needed to improve your enjoyment over those longer trips—JUST SAYIN!!!

BeeJay. First let me say that this a joke. The problem with a trip like you described, is getting your wife to take the penicillium to fight the cold that you caught while you where away.

I heard this many years ago in hockey circles.
