I think rain would be kinda nice
Yay! Heard from Wynn... got into tomorrow's Master Class from wait list
Glad I tier matched when I was in LV in June.
I was about to ask some of the same questions as @fenway68 . Glad I waited until I got to the latest posts.
Dinner was several happy hour bites
Great time chatting with adjacent guests... took no photos.
I had the cucumber stiletto
Crab cake slider
Seabass... it was served as a lettuce cup/wrap.
All excellent. Glad I skipped fries... three items came with potato chips.
Good luck! What type of room did you get at the Cosmo? I'll be there in October.
Wish I knew what I was doing
Talk of the dealers, pit crew. As of midnight, all Cosmopolitan staff must wear masks.
Dealers I played with Tues night, unmasked... were masked Wed night in preparation for new rule.
Booked a TERRACE STUDIO FOUNTAIN VIEW. Arrived to be given TERRACE ONE BEDROOM FOUNTAIN VIEW. Host said it was for occupancy management... they're sold out even weeknights. They consider it upgrade.
I asked host if I had a higher room cost to cover with play... she said no, not when they do it for room-management.
Losses have been significant this trip. Overall amount is significant, but not worst ever. But if loss to coin-in is a measurement, it's been brutal; I've lost over 30 cents on every dollar wagered. Therefore, my coin-in, my play, is nowhere near normal. Was feeling out-of-sorts, but a switch to VP at Chandelier (second time ever) and a Ketel One dampened the sting and then I went to see my host. She's familiar with VMB because of Kevin. So, in addition to addressing my concerns, it became a discussion regarding many things comp & Cosmo.
Yes, she confirmed my losses are considered relative to covering my room, back-end, etc. She acknowledged that I was losing at at unusually rapid pace, and that it would not be fun.
When hotel upgrades room for their purposes, player doesn't need to cover higher cost.
She was able to pull in some unused comps from prior trips to cover this trip's spend
I have unused Gold Identity comp rooms in account. She advised me Cosmopolitan is so busy, they cannot be used weekends through October, and some weeknights.
Unused Identity Gold comp nights are eliminated if Platinum is achieved, replaced by Platinum comp nights
Identity comp rooms:.. no need to cover cost when staying/playing. Identity room offers, play needs to cover room.
Because of Covid, Identity status was extended until December 31. Happened for most, particularly if no visits. But computer missed somee who had stays during Covid, didn't extend. My Gold was valid until November, computer didn't reset to December. But it can be adjusted by asking.
Host gets credit for stay whether host books room or guests book themselves, provided Identity account is coded to host. But, she said, "it looks better if we book it" Also said some of my difficulties at arrival might have been avoided if my reservation showed that a host booked it. (i booked this stay myself due to a few factors - she generally books my rooms)
High limit cookies are only available weekends. Edit: host didn't tell me, high limit security did. I had a cookie Thursday night.. bad info.
There may have been other Q&A, I was killing time, distracting from losses. I told her I'd be sharing info on VMB.
What else can be done when losses have mounted, and its aggravating to consider risking more? Play Pai Gow Poker. Three hours of push, push, push. I won $5 .I wont get any credit for the play, but it was a very social table, great dealers, and really reset my attitude.
Thanks for the info from Cosmo host.
Sorry to hear gambling not so kind. On the other hand, 30% loss not that bad.
Just to confirm the distinction, Identity comp room would the the Sterling/Gold/Platinum tier benefit annual free rooms?
Identity room offers are the comps showing up in the main offers section?
If you don't mind sharing, what is your average daily coin in for slots and or VP? I'm Gold at Cosmo and trying to get an idea if I'm close to Host-level gaming there. I've always figured if my play was host-worthy they would be the one to initiate contact. I have an 8 night Vegas stay starting in a few weeks and previously had spread my play between CET, Mlife, and Cosmo. I will be phasing out my CET play and trying to decide where that $$ will go.
I have arrived for Master Class in wine.
I expect great things, but pics might be blurry after tasting. If it's not great, I'll put on Master class in whine...nyuk nyuk nyuk
And it started raining during my ride here. Staff currently pulling in cushions from lake patio.
Starting wine master class. Blind tasting. Started chatting with others.
Its @CalifLovesVegas ... we just met. How great to meet CLV from VMB
Why would your play in pai gow poker not count when you are betting and playing for three hours? I lowkey wanted to do the somm master class—how was it?! Also, I don’t know if this is true, but I have never had a host contact me, but my friend said she thought I was under her host because we had stayed at Cosmo at same time before. She kept saying she would connect me with her host and I kept declining. Is there a way for me to check? Maybe I should ask identity membership next time I’m there? Would it show for them?
Food pairing with tasting
Did you notice if the omelet station is open now? Used to enjoy talking with the guy that was usually stationed there.
