Great report and some nice wins for sure. I was going to echo the other poster’s comments that, in order to proscribe all of the losses I’ve taken the last decade or so, perhaps I should give higher action as it does indeed seem to be the secret sauce (I’m partially kidding). You seem to have great luck in Vegas almost each time you go and get fantastic comps as a consequence, which obviously makes sense given the high level of action you give is naturally worthy of it.

I think I figured out why I lose incessantly, I need to bet more lol.

I also get why the call to the Wynn employee upon checkout could be a turn off for a player with your level of play, but I’m glad you’re cognizant that those folks likely don’t have life as financially easy of many of us on this board as an example. Speaking anecdotally, I received a subpar level of service at a nice restaurant my wife and I went to recently, and frequently have patronized over the last 7-8 years, and while on one hand I was put off by it, on the other hand, the reality is those people are struggling during the current situation so I gave it a pass rather than expect everyone to constantly put on a positive face for me as a repeat customer. I figured who am I to bring someone further down whose been out of work off and on this year while I just received another bonus. If the tables were turned, I would surmise I wouldn’t always be the most pleasant but who knows.

Glad you had a great time and like others said, thanks for taking us along.

I just posted the Wynn Rewards Tier Benefits in the Wynn Rewards Launching in Vegas thread. It looks like there will be some meaningful benefits to each tier. I agree with you and I hope that the level of service is not determined by Tier as I will probably continue to be at the Platinum Tier based on one annual trip. If I went twice a year to Wynn I can achieve Black Tier. As an example at Venetian/Palazzo, I am at the base tier and still receive RFB, VIP Check-In, Limo, spa, therefore I believe it will be the same at Wynn. ADT or Trip Theoretical will ultimately determine comps and perks one receives while on property.

Yeah, I'm a mere GOLD at V/P but the VIP check-in, limo, and comps are VERY nice... I don't think Wynn will become a CET or Mlife-esque property, though it is a concern.

I agree that I don't believe Wynn will become a CET or MLife style property. The benefits that are given at the tier levels seam to promote unique high quality experiences which continues the Wynn philosophy of providing unique experiences.

When comparing the Tier benefits at Wynn/Encore Las Vegas vs EBH, one can see how the benefits at EBH reflect the goal of creating a tiered rewards program to entice players to continue to patronize the property regularly.

@Flowers you do Vegas right! You bring and "spend" what you can afford to lose, and take advantage of all the benefits!! I wanna be you! LOL

Serious question about Wynn though, how are they doing housekeeping right now? By request only? I imagine their staff is gloved and masked up while in the room? I'm sure you can decline at the front desk and just ask for towels etc?

Housekeeping is 100% still on and just as wonderful as ever. The difference is that in the Tower Suites, whether in Encore or Wynn, there was pre-Covid automatic turn down service at night as well, with chocolates, more water, fresh towels, etc. etc. AUTOMATIC turndown service has been eliminated but you can still request it. Some days I did depending on the day and tipped accordingly.

The other difference is that you CANNOT be in the room when housekeeping comes in. If you are they will come back after you leave.

And I'm sure you can decline and just ask for towels. You would just do that by keeping the privacy light on and then just making a specific request for towels and someone would just bring them to the door.

This is how they did “contactless” towel drop offs at the St Regis. Was it a similar type of thing at Wynn/Encore?

Oh, I just love that NFC! But, to answer your question, I am not sure as I never declined housekeeping. I LOVE returning to a freshened room.

But, I assume if you wanted just towels that handing them to you at the door is how it would work. When I had clothes pressed the bellman gave them to me at the door, as opposed to coming inside my suite and hanging them in the closet.

Wrapping up my trip report from a health perspective.

I wanted to share that I quarantined for four days, got a Covid test yesterday (a five minute walk from my apartment) and just got back a negative test result.

I'm admittedly a person of extremes in this pandemic. Two trips to Vegas during the pandemic but other than that not leaving my apartment except for a grocery run every two weeks as when not in NYC I'm in Buffalo checking on my parents. I'm driving back there in about 2 weeks so I cancelled a hair appointment for next week, no PT, restaurants, anything (except I need milk, eggs and blueberries so a quick run to the grocery store on Tuesday to shop for myself and a neighbor younger than I whose cancer just returned) before driving to Western New York in a couple of weeks.

Thanks so much @bshowell. It was enjoyable -- even during the crazy/not fun/losing parts -- to share and to help record and look back on my own experiences.. I like solo trips but it's fun meeting VMBers physically in Vegas and you feel like you have company virtually the board while writing a TR.

I may be back again soon, TBD. In the meantime, wishing you happy holidays!

I have followed your report daily until the day you left, and have now caught up on the rest. You paint a great picture with your words. I thank you so much for this TR and your thoughts on just about everything you encountered. As always, this has been entertaining, exciting, and informative. Bravo!

I am happy you enjoyed it @pebbles and with how 2020 has turned out I am so glad that we had a chance to meet pre-pandemic. I hope you and your other half, as well as your dad, are doing well.

Wishing you a healthy and wonderful holiday season.

We are all doing well. Thanks for thinking of us. It will be lovely to hope that we can meet again once this pandemic is over. Here’s hoping for a better 2021 for us all.
