If you're talking about the June promotional FP, you have to go to the player's desk where they manually load it onto your card.

Check, think I could see the value but couldn’t transfer. Was going to go but was a few minutes after closing. 4oak ddb drought last night. Semi quit ddb and started doing bonus poker, since I was in 2 pair world. Got some D pay table pics. No sleep and going to finish tournament in 3 hrs. Tally ho!

This is ridonkulous I think I haven’t slept for 33 hours. This morning the 3cp dealer was making fun of me, talking about his younger days when he could stay up all night and drink beer in the morning...

    Surely did.

    Rough outline
    BJ Stories:
    -Tony, "Green chip pairs", ,
-Drinking ALL the Cals Hennesey w hawaiians and the ballad of Darryl
"Soft 18 hit " - the old asshole guy that gave me grief, karma deals pairs

    Craps Stories

    -MSS
    -Cooled at the Cal
-Hot roll at 4Q - 3 red chip tips from fellow low rollers.
(pre last roll, heart pounding, hands shaking, trying to control breath)
Followup loud roll right back from the other side.
3x(buyin etiquette eying envious hot rolls, then getting in at tail)

    VP
my 4oak drought continues (though entire tournament- not one!)
    All nighters into day:
    twice

    epilogue:
    "On Tilt"

Burned by Sluts - went big, went home
(damn, I forgot to put a sock on it!)
    What I've learned

    Stats:
    -
    used some LVA coupons
-worried about making 100 pts at 4q, ended with $80 promo FP.
-Silver strikes obtained: 13 clear cap dupes, 1 Red cap
-3 pits comps at MSS for $15, $20, & $30. Great tip that it never hurts to ask @wasilla!
(also funny last table after my lead, the requests spread, "everyone eats!".)
-we stooopid. Missed final dinner for VP tournament results (placed 220ish out of 258 :(), and unfortunately prize drawing . Thought it was sunday day after last round, but it was sat, night after last round, and that was printed on the sheet we both looked at. o_O:confused: gambled more instead.

    Cal has Hennessy
    MSS has Courvoisier
    If based on Craps tables,

    other thoughts:
Circa got structure above ground. It's really dusty on the Cal to binions walk. If the wind blows just right it feels like being sandblasted with construction dust.

Vue Bar is open, was kind of new smelly first visit, better second, Peroni on tap, a great italian beer we fondly remember from one of the best SF little italian restaurants. (got the giant beer I was wondering about and a stern warning from the barkeep that he shouldn't have comped it for me, I think we both survived.)
The pro move is getting up there for the beer then going down with it to use the monthly food comp on dogs and fries, chili on the side (or is that just me?)
It perfectly sticks the $15 FC I get, though I realized I get 10 from D and it also autoloads.
Both GG and D FCs autoload.
FP @ D autoloads, but gate FP needs visit to players club to activate.
D & GG music might have gotten a little bit quieter, still loudish.

    GG sportsbook is open,
it is straight back from the main entrance. They pulled out some slots to fit it in, there is almost no seating. "place your bets and get to stepping"

    LVA coupons
: you got to max value the $25 match play right? got me at the D, at the GG I matched, doubled, caught an ace on a ten for a $100 pay.

At the D I never got to use the free out on 22 bust, thought for sure it happened a lot. kind of like the side bet on catching 20.. does it not actually happen as much as you think... selective memory.

At the GG I was told the double payoff on first BJ applies to first that happens(if you have it out, dont know how it would go if you pulled it out of your pocket), so of course you need to max that at $25 so might as well do the double deck high limit. (attentive dealer, no side bets, no nonsense, 3:2, what happened to this beautiful game). did not happen (that was where the match play happened).

Cal room service is bigfoot, we didn't have the binder in our room and did not see any trays outside doors this trip. Was it a trial run? Can someone please get a picture of bigfoot or ask someone that would know and spawn a 20 message thread debating it?

Cal breakfast buffet is simple and straightforwards, but the biscuits and (prob very salty) gravy look good and the huge mountain of their great crispy bacon is quite a sight to behold. I was doing the morning stumble up w a twos company.

    :beer:HOLD UP WAIT A MINUTE
:beer:let me get some booze in it

saw a cocktail waitress show up at Cal Cafe, asked waitress, yes you can order drinks, they send it over to a bar, you pay separately, and you can get a delicious alcoholic beverage to enjoy with your oxtail soup.

WHY DOES THE MENU NOT TELL ME THIS.. I've been getting $20 VP beers this whole time!

    more details incoming after recovering

alright, alright 1860 views. I suppose people want the pictures more than the stories..
    "Hold my beer, watch this".

    Downtown Vegas
    In the final days
    Freemont was under seige
the Evil strip forces were spreading their virus to VP pay tables, 6:5 BJ, free bar drinks, and even resort fees.
The ugly and unwashed were running in packs like zombies,
unskilled drummers were pounding their buckets right outside the nirvana of 4Queens Bar,
Buskers roamed, arms reaching out seeking dollars for flabby flesh
or a kick in the nuts, or a dead mans pose, or a fuck you i need a beer sign,
Freemont needed a hero, but where would he come from,
would it be you?, would it be me?
who would rise to the occasion,
    ready to spring into action?

    Perspective:
upon returning home, our feral cat that has graced us with his presence, appears to be succumbing to FIV, after a great life of 10 some years, he cannot eat and is wasting away. Our hearts are breaking watching him try and fail to eat. (trip report will continue later....) Vegas losses are rendered meaningless.

is something wrong with me when it's only been two days back, and I'm listening to songs like this?:

btw does everyone realize you're on candid camera? You know how amusement parks sell pics of you on rides? I'd totally have bought a few souvenier videos (audio included) of some of my drunken late nite craps shenanigans..

Best craps run of the night, last night at 4Q, table had cleared to us 3 on this side, we were all down to the end. When dice passed to me, I looked over and asked, "you guys ready to make some money?", pretty much all our chips went on to the felt. At the end, we were racked up with reds, greens even, the table was full and loud as hell, and I had received 3 tipped chips from the table for the rolls. Even better, the second shooter on the other side ran equally hot, the table stayed loud, and I was thrilled to toss a chip back at him. Hard ways were really happening. Unfortunately none of my 3 way bets hit for the shooter.

Had to thank the Boxman for not sweating me at all during the whole hot roll, as that had happened just the other night at the Cal.

I would also point out her observation of proper craps etiquette: Don't crowd the shooter.
    eVegasJun20-24 151.jpg
And as I mentioned in another thread, P, my lovely fellow degen, came to the table and followed the rules as well, stood back, did not disrupt my rhythm, and did not even let me know she was watching. In between rolls, I could feel her watching me, gave her a look, and kept on going.

It's weird that they are warning to use footage in THAT spot of all places.

the question is if the area is just the front/entrance + checkin or the entire casino, I would guess the latter.

    Food:
Don't mind me, just puttering on at a slow pace..
Think I'll switch it up into categories instead of chronological...

@Vegasworm 's TR really opened my eyes to the great dining and cocktail options out there (had seen many others do the same), but so much! what a great way to do an anniversary. Inspiring! I need to bump some of my gamble budget to the dining side - at least for one meal.

Me, the degenerate, is thinking of applying some serious Vegas Math and think her total 2 week dining/drink budget is close to the over/under on my last nights tilt.

But anyways, here's some of the stuff we ate, it ain't all that fancy, but it was (almost) all free via MSS/Cal pit comps.. (I can't say Boyd didn't buy me dinner before F'ing me) (Since we were on the VP tournament we had no FC or FP)

    not pictured :
-a club sandwich and garden salad picked up to eat in the room
-2 veg (avocado & cucumber) sushi rolls & chicken ceasar salad we ate at MSS for lunch when we needed a light no meat snack.- leftovers of this stuff also can be eaten later out of the fridge
-an aloha specialties teri chicken bowl w. veg, we also ate in the room.
    - Slice of Pizza from Pizza Rock we ate at DTG

tacos at 4Q, quick and easy snack, we did it again and enjoyed tacos and nachos w. ice cold beer at the bar.
    VegasJun20-24 025.JPG
Saimin w. steak and eggs, damned if that wasn't a perfectly cooked steak, better than an expensive steak we had recently back home.

The "sorry I stayed up all night, again" Hero special, twos company breakfast brought up to the room: VegasJun20-24 106.JPG
Saimin again w. Kalbi and Chicken fried steak, gravy on the side

    Darryl:
    (see exhibit 1)
    VegasJun20-24 114.PNG

Soooo, it's some night I don't remember when, around 3 some AM, when all the sane gamblers rest, P has gone up to the room and I'm doing my usual, "I'll just drink and goof off with a few hundred" at a BJ table at the Cal.

The usual suspects are there, an older lady, an elder fellow, one or both betting larger than me, they eventually drift away.

Sometime around 4 am, I see "my people" arrive, the rowdy bunch, 4 Hawaiians that have obviously been drinking (like me) and are ready to have some fun gambling. I welcome them to the table (I'm seated middle) and they settle around me.. It is a perfect microcosm of a bro trip to vegas, (L to R seating) 3rd base: the experienced Alpha, A Chill Bro Guy, me, two relative newbies (but newbies that could follow sane advice),.

We get to it, as we warm the table up, they start talking about this guy Darryl, how much a punk he is for not showing up, how they were his bachelor party, how wild and stupid he would be, how much they missed him.

More information about Darryl came out as we played, about his playing style, he was a proponent of "taking one for the team" the stupid or unwanted hit that would save everyone else at the table, (which we saw illustrated several times during this), the ridiculous double vs bust cards (also illustrated, thus the stories coming up), tales of legend, "one time Darryl doubled on a 20".

At some point they order Hennessy drinks, and I order a Hen Rocks, Alpha says, "this man saying you all pussies", a good laugh was had. Several drinks later, but before I left the table, the waitress informed us the bar was OUT of Hennessy. I don't know if that was really true but I like to think it was.

It was as great a time as could be had, getting drunk, making jokes, telling stories, winning as a team, and throughout their love for their buddy Darryl was warming my heart. (or was it the Hen?).

I had some inklings, might have seen through the puzzle, but had to ask sometime, "why isn't this punk ass Darryl here tonight with you guys?"

Darryl had died. (chill bro pulls up his sleeve to show the giant arm tattoo for his bro)

Played another hour or so, kept having fun, kept getting drunk, making jokes, telling stories, winning as a team, lost some, won some, didn't beat the sun coming up before I got to bed.

It was an honor to sit in Darryls seat.
