I love downtown in the afternoon. Something with the sunlight and the shadows. And less crowded more room to casually walk.

On day 4 I decided to have a cocktail. This is my 3rd Crown Royal Manhattan...the ROYAL drink of the 4Qs. Their comp rate is so high 9/6 JoB is a positive game.
Dinner soon at Adiamos at the D. Found out I have $70 in comps sitting there.[IMG]

I love Downtown all the time... quiet mornings moving into loud nights as the bands start up.

Dinner at Adiamos. They give you phenomenal warm bread and companata (a mix of eggplant, onions, celery, tomatoes and olives... it's superlative). I ordered a shrimp cocktail ($19) and a caesar salad (not usually done for one, $12). By the time I finished the shrimp cocktail I was full and had to cancel the salad.[IMG]

All food has been comped. Exception, The French Bakery was about $6.50. Hammie's joke had it right. I beg for food. Gambling? Oh, I have money for that!
Goodbye Downtown. I'll be back in a couple of days to meet Joe and Crapsplaya. Next stop: check in at Silverton. Then it's the last 2 days on the Strip.[IMG]

So do I!! Almost all of my trips are 2 weeks... coming all the way from Philly, but this trip was an extra because I hit a $4,000 royal in AC. $2,000 was designated for this trip and that's not enough for 2 weeks.

I think that's the normal portion for collosal shrimp cocktail. But they were on the soggier than they should have been... just fair. The companata was jaw-stoppingly good... meaning at first taste your mouth just slows down to half speed realizing that this is something that has to be savored.
I saw the collosal shrimp cocktail at Big Sur Oyster Bar in South Point and they looked to be everything they should be...$18 for 3 and looked worth it.

I wanted to post my favorite views of the city in these pre-dawn hours but it's just too dangerous to pull the car over... but they're worth the look.
    1) entering the valley from 515/93/95 N coming in from Horizon Pkwy exit. Breathtaking.
    2) coming into downtown from Summerlin Pkwy starting at the very top by 215. This one is brief.
Do them at night, the lights of the city are great.
Now at the Skyline, home of the $1.50 shrimp cocktail...yes please! They also have two really good vp progressives and live country bands on weekends. Honestly, it was tastier than the one at Adiamos.[IMG][IMG]

Great report so far. I especially love seeing pictures of all the casinos.

I have one night on my next trip where I can't get a comp downtown (stupid NASCAR weekend). Figure it's a good chance to spend one night at an off-strip casino and establish play. Silverton is on my list of maybes, so very interested to see what the rooms look like.

I'll post a pic of my Silverton room as soon as the room's made up. SILVERTON HAS THE BEST BEDS EVER. (and I've been everywhere in this city. Wynn's were comparable) I highly recommend Silverton for a night needed elsewhere.

More VP porn. And then I got this promotion from Silverton: Stupid to pay for on the plane. Who can I give it to?[IMG][IMG]

Seriously, maybe one of your hotel maids could use it at home.

Nixed Park MGM for a Harrah's comp. Then PH popped in my calendar!
