    My Trip Report

    Bush league
Also see Bushleague. Adj. 1) Below good standards, not good or incorrect. Pitiful, poor, terrible, awful, bad, sucky,
    "That's a bushleague call, ref."

    "That kid is real bushleague."

"This trip report is real bushleague. Where are BeeJay and Macker when you need them?"

    Hello All!

Welcome to what I believe is my second trip report here on VMB. My first attempt was pretty dry and not as entertaining as I'd like it to be. So I'm gonna try to make this one as entertaining as possible, though it may still stray to the Bush League side of things.

I am travelling down to Las Vegas with three of my good friends. This is the same crew as my last trip to Vegas three years ago. I am in my mid twenties, and am currently in University and working as well. This week is our "reading week" or "Spring Break", so I jumped at the opportunity to fly into Vegas.

My buddy has a comp at Flamingo, and he got the email to upgrade to a Go room for like $4/night so we jumped at it. My other two friends are also staying at Flamingo, they may try the $20 trick to see if they can upgrade from a Fab.

In regards to gambling, I am mostly a slots player I'd say. I love three reel Wheel of Fortune, a machine that doesn't exist at my local casinos. I also like to play some Craps if the table isn't too crowded and the minimums aren't too high. I have been playing some Ultimate Texas Hold 'Em on Wizard of Odds, might try my luck at that one afternoon on this trip.

As for dining and activities, my buddy and I purchased the Bacchanal groupon because we have never been to bacchanal yet. Hoping to not be too hung over to enjoy it. Otherwise no real solid plans for dining. Definitely going to hit up a few classics we don't have in Canada like Earl of Sandwich, Shake Shack, and Secret Pizza. We don't have any shows planned either but we are thinking Carrot Top possibly. Two in my group of four have not seen Carrot Top yet so might be a nice way to kill 90 minutes.

I will try to post as many pictures as possible and try not to be too dry. Not the highest of rollers yet, maybe once I get my degree, but I am gonna make the best of it. Welcome aboard and may the odds forever be in your favour!

    You had me at bush!

    Have a super trip!
Being that it's "reading week," I hope you spend some time in the [sports] books! :D

I'll be watching for those big slot hits and hand pays!

    Best wishes!

If you are looking for a low limit craps table that isn't too crowded you should find one at the Flamingo early in the morning. I know you won't get up around 6-7am, but you should be able to make us proud by staying up until 6-7am.

    Good morning all,

I'll just give a bit of a quick update here. Two of my friends have flown directly into Vegas this morning. My other bad hombre has flown into LA to get some new ink done by a tattoo artist there. He will be driving into Vegas later this evening. As for me? Well I'm still laying in bed. I finished my final work shift around 2am last night. Came home and had to deal with a bunch of BS from my ex-girlfriend, and that combined with Vegas jitters equals not much sleep. I will be catching an evening flight out of Calgary direct into Las Vegas this evening. Should be there around 8pm local time. I will have some pics from my journey and then will get the actual Vegas content going here. I am tired but can't wait to blow off some steam in Vegas.

    Lots of updates to come!

I am pleased to announce that US Customs and Border Protection deemed me acceptable to enter the United States.

Currently enjoying a Caesar at the Wolfgang Puck in Calgary's brand new International terminal. Took a couple pics of the terminal before security. It is absolutely gorgeous. Like $2 Billion gorgeous, or about 40 USD after exchange. If any of you decide to come up to Calgary for the Stampede or to check out Banff, I hope you get to go through the new terminal.

My flight is on time and I should be at the baggage claim by about 8:30pm this evening. Thank you for all your kind comments and for following along, I hope to not disappoint you!

Met up with my two friends. My one friend has been to the Cosmo. Apparently the drink service was quite good because he had ten rum and cokes lol. Let the adventure begin. Hahaha. I will have a few pics for you guys later tonight. So good to be back in Vegas

IMG_3716.JPG IMG_3717.JPG View from my friends Fab room. Our fourth bad hombre is in bound from Los Angeles as we speak. Met a few other Canadians in the flamingo casino. Gonna walk the strip and grab a bite to eat and go from there.

IMG_3719.JPG Checked out Cromwell for the first time, holy smokes is it nice in there. Bounced through there to Ballys, Paris, and now enjoying an earl of sandwich at PH. Played like maybe 30 bucks between the various places. No huge wins. Our fourth bad hombre just passed Primm so the real party is about to start

Good morning all! I'll provide a bit of an update and then a loose itinerary for my day today. Fourth member of our crew got in around midnight last night. Had a hell of a time trying to find a self parking spot, and valet was completely jammed as well. Then went to check in, well of course the kiosk says "your room isn't ready yet". So we go up to the actual desk. Apparently because we checked in so late they gave our Go Room to someone else. Ended up in a Fab Room on the 16th floor of Flamingo. Very last Room in the hall way. We have a view of Linq with a little bit of High Roller and a bit of mirage. Bathroom is in rough shape. Even my friend was like "I think next time we should stay at another property".

After getting the room stuff figured out, we ended up walking down to Casino Royale. Two of my crew ate White Castle, something I would say didn't appear real appetizing. We all put some money into 25c wheel of fortune at casino royale, I cashed out even. Hit one bonus spin while playing and that's about it.

I don't mean to bring the vibe of my trip report down but last night I was seriously considering changing my flight to go home today. Reason being that I used to come down to Vegas with my Ex GF and depending where I go on the strip it seems I relate a lot of what I'm seeing to her. I was really miserable on the entire flight down, and miserable at Casino Royale last night. My buddies are doing their absolute best to get me through it.

After CR we hit Walgreens for a few things, and then went over to Caesars. Very surprised how busy it was in there for a Tuesday at like 1am. Played some dragon spin, which is one of my favourite slot machines at home, but it didn't show me much love. So I basically put the rest of my daily gambling budget into dragon spin. What can ya do.

Headed back to flamingo, sat around in the Casino a bit. Spotted a few girls coming back from the club walking in bare feet holding their shoes in their hands. I understand why, but a part of me is also like "you know how disgusting that casino carpet is right?".

I slept well last night and feel a bit better about my whole domestic situation. I think I'm gonna stick it out for the rest of the trip.

My buddy went to return his rental car and I'm just lounging in bed. When he gets back we will head over to Bacchanal and eat, and then meet up with our other two friends and go from there. I think we might head to Fremont tonight. But not 100% sure.

I will take a bunch more pics today and hopefully have some more fun updates for all of you.

Well we hit up Bacchanal and the wow factor is there in my opinion. No line this morning and lots of selection. I would definitely pull the trigger on the groupon again in a heart beat. Also Margaritaville had some excellent advice for me regarding my ex
